4.1 AVERAGE

4.25 stars. mpreg isn't my really thing but jude and al were so cute and silly that i couldn't stop reading. this book was so sweet and funny, such a fun read<3

Accidental Gem!

I wasn’t even looking for an alien mpreg - this time - and I accidentally stumbled upon gold! This was absolutely amazing! A new favorite that I read on KU but now must buy and add to my bookshelf collection. It has fluff. It has angst. It has slap-your-knees humor (I bookmarked so many funny moments

Honestly this was weird but like what can you expect from an alien romance? I’ll totally still read the next one.

I didn't know what to expect from this book and got a humorous fun story. The characters were a hoot and the book made me feel good. This is one of those book that you can reread again and again so be sure to read it for the first time soon.

4.25ish stars for me! This is Piper's first new book in a while and with a new co-author, too! I'm so excited to get into new writing from her and this book did not disappoint. It's hilarious, endearing, sweet, full of feels, and I'm in desperate need of more.

Jude is a young college kid down on his luck when he happens to witness a crash landing - and the alien is the sweetest guy ever! Named Al, since his alien name isn't pronounceable, Jude takes him back and hides him while Al tries to figure out a way to reach home and his parents.

OK, I LOVE Al. His hatred of English, his literal use of all the words, his panic spiral over daylight savings time (I get it Al, I don't know why we do it either!!) just made him an absolute sweetie. I adored him trying to figure out everything. I also loved his friendship with Jude's friends and also how gone he was for Jude.

I do wish there had been a bit better communication between the two haha despite me talking all about Al and his use of English. Look, miscommunication tropes are my most disliked in all of romance and while this didn't completely cross over into the Big Misunderstanding territory, there were some points throughout the story that I just wished these two would TALK to each other.

Spoiler I think that had there been maybe like a bit more explanation of Jude's self-worth issues, of a bit more consideration for how he was feeling, I wouldn't have felt like he was being such a jerk at certain points of the story to Al. Who I adore. Like, I almost was worried that I would leave this story thinking Al was too good for Jude or that Jude didn't do enough to make up for things that were said haha.

This was SUCH a fun story! And yes, while the typical things that come along with omega verse are not present, we all know how Piper loves her eggs LOL.

Also - can we get stories for Ezra and Corbin? (specially Ezra omg he needs a hot alien of his own!) Maybe one of them with Kyle!

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This story pleased me a lot!

OMG! Seeing Earth through Al's eyes was hilarious and thought provoking, but mostly hilarious and charming!
Jude and Al had so much in common regarding their parents, it was refreshing to see that no matter what planet, parents can suck, lol.
I loved the plot - alien crash lands, meets a (reluctant) friendly human; hilarity ensues with learning how to pass as human. Add in a found family - Ezra was awesome and Corbin,(I want to be friends with him). Plus the new family Al and Jude gain (swoon!).
I really wanted to highlight 80% of the book, especially with Al's take on English and Jude's 'death car', but I restrained myself!
I am looking forward to more stories in this universe!

This was out of this world cute, sweet, fun and spicy! I was smiling and laughing a lot at AI's adjustment to earth. Somehow AI made constantly complaining hilarious. The way he would communicate and his reactions to all things humans were so relatable. Turns out Jude and AI were both very lonely in their own worlds and the relationship they build together is absolutely adorable. They communicate quite well physically if you know what I mean! Great world building and I see some future side character romances in the making!

Thank you to GRR for providing an earc in exchange for a review.

This book was so freaking fun. We follow Jude who is a young art student, which isn't having a great time at life right now, and Al, the charming alien that literally almost crashed right on top of him. An intergalactic meet-cute.

The plot is meh. I have less than favorable opinions about the miscommunication trope. While this isn't the worst I have read, I wasn't a big fan.

However, the real MVP's of this book anyway are the characters. Al was the most adorable dorky alien I have ever read. His running commentary on everything human was not only kinda relatable but hilariously accurate. Jude is going through some shit and is a totally relatable character. I loved all the side characters as well and can't wait to read more.

Overall a very successful first installment of what will be a very fun series.

Funny, amazing, and a page-turning success!

**I received this arc from GRR for my honest feedback**

Scott never fails to make me laugh, cry, giggle, and swoon in the span of a few chapters.

Al had come to learn that humans required near constant mental stimulation, for if they were forced to be alone with their own thoughts for too long, they would begin to feel anxiety.

I mean, yeah. That's fair.

Anyway, Al was the cutest himbo alien ever. He was such a dork and so smitten with Jude, I just loved them together so much.

“Hello,” Al said politely. “I am Al Leon. I am a homosexual from Greece. My car broke down when I was driving on land, and that is how I became acquainted with Jude. We are now mating. I am doing engineering at this school.” He dropped the handshake and grinned wide. “Nice to meet you, dude!” With his introduction having been expertly delivered, Al turned to look at Jude for approval. Jude was looking back with a completely deadpan expression. A Mississippi went by, and finally he sighed, giving Al a thumbs-up. Al beamed. He was excellent at being a human.

I mean, COME ON.

“No,” Al said simply. “I will go with you to eat human food with your parents and brother. It is obvious they make you feel unhappiness for some reason. I will not let you feel unhappiness alone.”

We all need someone like that in our lives. Overall, Jude should have definitely treated Al better, but I'm hoping that the end of the book showed us the other side of this -- Jude equally as smitten with Al and in love with their life together.
