Super informative. Very important to read of you are I. The wellness space as a creator or follower. This book made me re-think my entire social media feeds. It gives cited information for both sides of every argument and the book ends with how to approach wellness information after reading.

A refreshing antidote to goop and its peers. I do wish the author had explained section 230 more, because it is wildly more complicated than presented, and it came off like intentionally or not she was portraying it as universally bad. That being said, addressing the algorithms part was spot on

I loved loved loved reading this book. The author was clear, the information was presented faithfully, and the real-world examples from individuals dealing with some of the “traps” of wellness were compelling. I think this book is perfect for anyone to read, and ideal for almost everyone as almost all of us have been exposed to some of these wellness traps before and it is a good idea to understand what they are and their impact on us that we might not even realize is happening.

I really liked this book; the toxicity of (mainly) white, “western” wellness culture fascinates me. It’s not super heavy on facts/sources, but I think the author did a good job in covering some of the main topics around wellness.
