Repetitive and wordy at times. I read a lot of what I already knew and found little substantial resolution. Although this may not be a groundbreaking book it still might be helpful to different people looking for accessible information.

I was able to read an advanced copy of this book thanks to New Harbinger Publications and NetGalley.

Overcoming Anticipatory Anxiety is not a science heavy look at the topic, instead it is written in a practical and understandable way.
The authors do lay out a way to DANCE with the feelings, sensations and thoughts that I wish would have had more practical examples and applications but overall if you are one who experiences anxiety in any form this book allows you to feel seen and gives you some very honest explanations as to what is happening and what to do to live with it. The work is not easy but it is worth it to not have anxiety leave you mind-paralysed.

I received this eARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book made me even more anxious. It was very wordy. The situations it presented in the book were good, but reading this very wordy book made me more anxious. I don’t think I’m any better after reading.
