Saint and Lennon were amazing. Their energy was top notch and their banter was HOTTTTT. The amount of lines I highlighted in this book was insanity. Also, can we talk about Saints dirty talk? Hello sir. Saint was every girls dream bad boy gone good. Lennon swept him off his feet before he even knew what was happening. Lennon finding her voice by the end of the book was incredible. So good.

Dear lord this book is hot! 🔥 Maren Moore delivered an absolute banger with this one.
I had so many highlights on my Kindle and so many lines I laughed out loud.
The banter is what I live forever! Lennon and Saint and the perfect grumpy x sunshine duo. They are opposite in everything but they are a perfect match with their witty banter!

The steam is steaming… I will never think of a better use for hockey tape or a penalty box. I love the character development for both of them. Lennon truly gets to find herself and be free of the perfect life her parents have been grooming her for since birth.
The night of the storm when Saint shows up had me in tears. When he finally lets her in my heart swells and breaks for him.
I wish everyone had a Tommy in their life, that man needs to be protected at all costs.
What Saint has gone through is absolutely heart wrenching and it makes me love him so much more.

The last line has me in a chokehold “I guess you’ll always be the bad boy. Just… my bad boy” “And I guess you’ll always by my Golden Girl”
Ugg I love it so much! I can’t wait for more!

Amazing! I love enemies to lovers and this book did not disappoint. There is found family, banter, fake dating, bad boy/good girl and of course he becomes obsessed with her because why not :) If you love a dirty talking hockey star then this is for you. Happy Reading Everyone!

I love a good Maren Moore book, and I was so excited to learn that Saint was getting his own book! We first met him in Homerun Proposal. Lane and Hallie's book. He was the bad boy, playboy that got into it with Lane at the Halloween party. So this book, and the next few, will still be taking place at Orleans U...yay 🤗

I knew I was going to love this book from the start. I received this as an advance copy, but I saw a video by the author that was emotional for her to make about this book. By what she said in that video on her Instagram, I knew I was going to relate to a lot of things I was going to read. This book really hit home for me and made me emotional at times. So just be prepared for those hard to read parts.

Saint is the bad boy on campus and a playboy that puts it all up front when he meets a girl. He's there for a good time and doesn't cuddle or stay the night. He's worked his way through a lot of women on campus, and the author really made him out to be an arrogant 🍆.

I love that when Maren writes her  characters, you truly get and feel that image from them. It didn't state they were a certain way and then not act that part throughout. No, she wrote Saint as a cocky bad boy, and you felt that opinion of him throughout.

Lennon is trying to take her life into her own hands. She's been controlled her whole life by her parents, and the last straw was when they tried to get her back together with her cheating ex. She wants her own life, and she takes the first step by trying to get back into something she loved doing that her father made her give up. Figure skating.

There's been a mix-up on the private ice rink times, and she's stuck sharing it with Saint for the school year. She can not stand him. She is a short yet feisty red head that gives back as good as she gets from Saint.

She thinks that he's just what she needs to fake date in front of her family to get them to back off. She comes from a prestigious, wealthy family that only thinks of her as a future trophy wife. Someone to help her father's name and business.

After the ex problem her father shoved in her face at the last gala, showing up with a motorcycle riding, tattooed, trailer trash, hockey playing a$$hole as her new boyfriend should show them all. And boy, does she let Saint be his natural a-hole self to her parents.

The thing about all this is that Saint hates her father. He wants revenge for his life and plans on taking it out by ruining her dad by ruining her. He thinks this is a happy go lucky family and thought of Lennon as their princess. He could see the attraction she had towards him and planned on using that in the long game. Or as long as it took because Lennon had a purity ring, and he was going to get her to give it up...to him!

The only thing is that the more time they spent together, the more they both realized the other person and their life wasn't what it seemed to be. The rare moments that Lennon saw Saint's real smile and life the more her attraction grew. And the more Saint sees that her life isn't what he thought, the more she became his safe place and the only person besides his mother that he cared about.

The spicy moments were great, and Saint had a delicious dirty mouth. Maren can write some great spicy scenes. I wish there was more of the actual act of s3x in this book. It was more 0ral and foreplay than anything else. I think there was only 2 times that I remember reading the actual act and a bunch of 0ral throughout. Saint loved to eat her out 🤭🥵

Also, there were certain moments that didn't really go together. Examples, like she was in a sports bra one moment, then it turned into a red lace bra in the same scene. Or another was the first time Lennon saw Saint without a shirt in the fancy suit store, then in the elevator scene later on, it was explained as the first time she saw him shirtless. It was like that a few times throughout the book, like she forgot she had already wrote it a certain way then forgot and went another direction. I know this is the Advanced Copy that I read, so it may be fixed in the final published book.

Overall, the book was good, and I would recommend reading it. I recommend all of her books if you haven't read any of them. The title of this book really made sense. It went with the actual book. Please check the trigger warnings in this book. There are some that could be upsetting and hard to read about. Saint's life wasn't an easy one to read about, and I'm so happy he got his HEA.

The Bad Boy Rule was my first read by Maren Moore and while I liked the book, I was still a little disappointed by it. I expected something different I guess. Usually, I'm a sucker for a good fake dating and enemies to lovers romance, but I just couldn't entirely connect with the main protagonists, Lennon and Saint.

The part half of the story was the most difficult for me as I couldn't understand why Saint was such a jerk to Lennon. Even with their backstory, it was just too much. And the way he changed so radically in such a short amount of time wasn't that believable. Anyway, I still liked some of their interactions and I must say that the steamy scenes were really hot. The emotional moments between these two were sweet and lovely too. The supporting characters weren't that present in the book and maybe that's another reason why I struggled at times. I enjoy when it's not all about the couple, but also their entourage.

Anyway, I'll definitely read the next book in the Hellcats Hockey Series or even try Maren Moore's back list novels.

Saint ,what can I say a good boy he ain’t . Love em ? Ha! Leave em ,like a dog ,he’s used his log and sometimes it’s hard slog but this love business ain’t the job he wants . No matter who taunts or begs for more than is between his legs . But you know what he has got going for him ? He’s honest, he’s dependable and gracious with a certain lady ,vulnerable heart on sleeve not out to deceive. The lady in question ,Lennon is polar opposite as far as the sexual side goes ,she ain’t one o them hoes. She does try to appease everyone she meets ,she’s a pleaser ,not a teaser this hon. Her vulnerable side you cannot hide , maybe she sees the same in him . Beneath his treat em mean keep em keen nature ,she sees a nurturer . A gentle soul  not a ‘A’ hole. Though they didn’t half spat! Like feral cats ! The two of them grow close though through this and it’s a beautiful thing , not morose as he would have thought with anyone else who wanted to be close. It’s enough to make even the hardest of hearts sing. And phew they got some zing and strings to her bow too ,woohoo! This thing that slowly turns into heat between those sheets ,but is it a love they can be sure of ….Does it last ,does it waver ,has she grown some fervour and grown to love who he is or gives him some sass and meets him head on. Does he resist her charms ,leave her loving  arms or enjoy a long embrace and a cute face to face warm hug. Well of course he has head screwed on right ,he knows which honey tastes sweet bless his heart…. It’s one heck of a journey together they weather and whether they make it through Just know that it’s heaven and chalk n cheese does sometimes win out and can grow devout and pure … As well as vixen from demure…Maren Moore , I absolutely ADORE THIS COUPLE SO MUCH 😍🥹 Your portrayal is first class and the way you had the smart ass ,ass kicked and torn of strips was so good . Superb writing as ever and so cleverly executed and crafted too. The storytelling? Is mighty compelling ,the storyline divine . Sublime descriptors and characters that are created so well ,both as vulnerable as hell but with each other? Swell ❤️

This book blew me away. It’s the first book in a new series by Maren, and I am SO excited to see who we’ll get to meet as the series continues!!

The MCs are ones that will stay with me for a LONGGGG time. Saint is the definition of bad boy, in every single way you could think of. Lennon is his exact opposite- perfection drips from her. But the more we learn about these two, the more we realize that what’s underneath each of their facades is a lot deeper than what it seems.

Lennon is a figure skater who has been groomed by her father to be the perfect future trophy-wife. When she learns how to stand on her own two feet, that girl STANDS.

Saint has a LOT of trauma in his past, including parental abuse. He never lets anyone in because he doesn’t want to be vulnerable with anyone.

But when these two come together, its FIREWORKS. First the kind that spark from hate, but little by little, they turn to understanding a love.

I LOVE the fake dating trope, and Maren DELIVERS. Saint’s redemption arc is one of the BEST I’ve EVER READ.

The one thing I’ll warn you with is that this book is SPI-CY. Just know that going into it. But the plot is amazing and even if you skip the spice, it’s still an amazing read!!

Thank you to Valentine PR and Maren Moore for the gifted ARC. All opinions are my own.

What a fun, fast paced, banter filled read that had you from the first page 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

🥰❤️😂🙃🥹😬💕👀😘😍😱🫶🏻🤗🫠

So many emotions packed into this!

Lennon & Saint were so much fun getting to know. They both had their own struggles but worked to overcome them. The dual POV made this absolutely perfect & the secondary characters were on point! I am hoping we get to dive back into this world again in the future 🤞🏻

What to expect:
✨dual POV
✨hockey player MMC
✨figure skater FMC
✨forced proximity
✨fake dating
✨opposites attract
✨open door
✨enemies to lovers
