Not my favorite in the series by far, but a solid 3.75 stars I'd say. Wonder if Braydon will get a book too? Or is this truly the end of the series I wonder?

Another beautiful, heartfelt and funny read from the amazing Gena Showalter. The hero and heroine have both endured more than any one person should have to and have both been keeping their feelings for each other locked down. A fortuitous turn av events leads to some interesting developments that force them out of their comfort zones, onto a path more exciting than they could ever imagine. A must read in this exciting series of love and HEA against all odds.

Welcome to Strawberry Valley, where hotties live and love happens.
Brock is a one night only kind of guy. With a past filled with abuse and PTSD, he's not willing to get close to anyone, he does not want anyone to know about what he's done for the army or before that. Still, he's kind, loyal and funny. But when the occasion arises and he's finally able to take his revenge, he takes it, even if it means marrying someone to get it. Lyndie has had her eyes on Brock for seven months but never acted on it because she wasn't ready and also she never thought he was interested in her, seeing him with a different woman every night didn't help. Lyndie is a sweet girl, with a similar past. Her father used to abuse her and when she thought she finally had escaped him, she found herself with an abusive husband. Now a few years later, she's finally free and able to live her life like she sees fit. She's not completely comfortable yet but she's getting there. Ready to start dating again at her own pace. That is until Brock comes to her home with a proposition she can't ignore. Marry him for a while, he gets his revenge and she gets what she's always wanted but never could have, a baby.

I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand I absolutely loved it and on the other, Lyndie really tainted this experience for me. I was so excited for Brock's story after having read the other books from this series and reading the first half of this book, I was more than happy with it.
"He was like a short-haired, green-eyed version of Jason Momoa."
I loved Brock from the start. At the beginning he's a man-whore who likes to get drunk and have meaningless sex with a different woman every night. He's big, bad and sexy. Ex-military, he now works at his own company, a security firm he owns with his two best friends, Daniel and Jude. Brock may be a hardass but he actually yearns to have a normal relationship and maybe start a family but with his past and everything he's done, he thinks he's not worth it.

I loved his vulnerability with Lyndie, how sweet he was with her, he tried so hard to please her. Knowing her difficult past with her father and then her husband he was always so careful around her. But I felt like he was loosing himself with her, becoming a man he wasn't.

Lyndie is a different story. I actually really liked her at the start, sympathized with her. I mean, her father used to beat her then she got married very young and ended up with an even worst husband so of course she's still fragile and has this need to be independent and live her life like she wants to live it. She was hilarious and made me laugh out loud more than once. She was kind and brave because despite everything she became stronger and overcame a lot. But I didn't like her behavior toward Brock most of the time. She was contradictory and totally unfair. She expected things from him that were selfish of her to expect. I could understand some of her reactions because of her past but some were just purely selfish. Thank God for great friends! I loved that Gena used her two best friends, Dorothea and Ryanne, to make her see the light and the error of her ways. They didn't just agree with her and that's that. They told her what they thought and made her realize some of her own faults.

When Lyndie wasn't thinking selfishly I actually loved her relationship with Brock. The chemistry was off the charts and the romancing was so sweet and the banter between the two was priceless. And the sex was hot. YES MA'AM.
There are other things I loved about this book though. Mainly Brock but also the secondary characters like Daniel and Jude. I love those guys and their unwavering support. Same for Dorothea and Ryanne and their honest friendship.

In the end, Can't Get Enough was a great addition to this series, with a scorching hot romance and a hero willing to go to the end of the earth for the woman he loves. A heroine totally not perfect but with a gentle heart and hilarious retorts and an array of pets you don't want to miss!

I received an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. Review and blog Tour can be found on *Milky Way of Books*

I really couldn't be more excited to read the final book of this spin-off series! Lyndie and Brock were by far the best couple in this trilogy. Both with their own traumas, but both with the mental power to overcome them and be happy. There was no separation like the previous couple but instead a slow, good building with humor, sexy scenes and lots of pets.

I also got the idea that there will also be ANOTHER spin-off of this series, if we think of Brock's brother and the new teacher. But who knows? This book was the best of this author for 2017.

The Marriage Bargain is the sixth book in the Original Heartbreakers series and was previously titled Can’t Get Enough. I just absolutely loved getting to go back into this wonderful world with it’s amazing characters. Ahhhhh I’m so happy I finally got to read this story. I just wanted Brock and Lyndie to have their own story so bad and I am so glad that they finally do. I was just captivated by their story and I just couldn’t get enough of them. I was just so sad to turn the last page and I immediately wanted more stories in this amazing series. I hope the author will revisit this world and I can’t wait to see what she writes next.

It was a joy to read Brock's story and to finally get more insight into his character. A character I've been wanting to read more about ever since he made his first presence in book #4, Can't Hardly Breathe. And I desperately wanted Lyndsie to have her happily ever after as well, after everything that has happened to her in the past years. These two characters have always shared a sizzling attraction right from the start, but each of them had too much to lose to give into it. In Brock's mind, Lyndie is too sweet and good for the likes of Brock. And in her mind, Brock is too much of a playboy to give Lyndie the future she craves. But then Brock brings her a proposal she can't deny; a marriage of convenience. He needs a wife that he trusts and can later divorce fuss-free in order to claim his father's company. She'll agree to it if he gives her what she ultimately craves; a baby. Each gets what they want with no strings attached with the agreement to walk away from each other at the end. But nothing is ever really that simple when it comes to feelings... And Gena Showalter is a writer-goddess when it comes to meeting my high expectations for a fast-paced, explosive and great contemporary romance read; she delivers yet again!

"The characters are – as always when it comes to a Gena Showalter book – so realistically written and interesting right from the start. They are the beating heart of this wonderful story!" - a quote of mine from the Can't let go review which perfectly summarizes how I feel about the main characters in this book as well.

Brock, Brock, Brock... What's not to love about him? Okay, so he has some commitment issues and wasn't planning on attaching himself to a woman for the rest of his life. Until Lyndie and their fake marriage happened to him, BOOM. Brock's world gets turned upside down and I loved reading about him falling for this woman. This stubborn woman, desperate to remain unattached, even during their times trying to conceive a baby. And Brock's definitely showing his soft, romantic side in this book and omygoshhh.. It definitely left me a puddle of melted fangirl, right there. When Brock goes all in, he GOES ALL IN. So yeah, prepare yourself haha - this man is going to get under your skin, in your heart, just freaking everywhere alright? haha
You’ve enraptured me,” he said, his voice nothing more than smoke and gravel. “I would do anything for you.”

Lyndie is a character you may have come across in other romance books so far; she's the victim of abuse and therefore very untrusting towards men in general. And this one particularly HOT SPECIMEN of a military playboy is no exception. She isn't planning on opening up anytime soon for anyone romantically interested in her, so that makes Brock the perfect victim for what she's planning; conceiving a baby with someone and raise it alone. So she thinks she did a great job about making this deal with Brock by becoming his wife so he gets to hold onto the company his father left him and she'll eventually walk away fuss-free with a baby. So, she obviously knows Brock is hotttt, but when she's getting to know him better and gets under his skin, she finds it incredibly hard to hold up her appearance of not caring and of not showing that she's falling in love with him.
When she emerged from the bathroom, she discovered Brock waiting for her in the bedroom. His gazed roved over her and sizzled. "I hope you're hungry."
"Ravenous," she croaked. But not for food.
The merciless men ascorted her to the kitchen, and once again she jolted with shock and awe. He'd set the table with fine china. And he hadn't made taco's but taco soup, combining her top two favorites.
"I know you love soup, so I paid a local girl to make it." He sounded unsure and adorable and oh, wow, she really liked this man. Might even lo- Nope. No way, no how. She liked him. Liked, liked, liked. Nothing more, nothing less.

-- I mean, which man goes out of his way to get someone to make taco soup, to combine her two favorite meals? Brock is such a cutie pie!
I'm not afraid of commitment," he told her. "Not anymore. Marrief life agrees with me in ways I never imagined. You are my family. The one I've always wanted but never had. And I know - you crave your independence. You're afraid I'll become an anchor like your first husband, and drag you down. But I have no desire to clip your wings, Scottie. I just want the privilege of soaring beside you."

The humor and banter between these characters was easily my favorite part of the book and I had to laugh out loud on multiple occasions. From the adorable nicknames they give each other early on in their 'marriage', to their flirty text messaging and into the situations in which they're both trying to live together, getting to know one another better and just trying to get accustomed to each other's habits. He pushed and she pulled. She was strong when he was weak and vice versa. Gena is such a great writer and creates these couples in which both characters seem to compliment each other's inadequacies so completely, it's just perfect.

This book was yet again such a wonderful, lovable and funny read from start till end. Yep, Brock and Lyndie's story was definitely worth the wait and it may be my favorite of the series so far! The story’s pace was perfect and the chemistry between Brock and Lyndie was off the charts HOT! If you love the original heartbreakers book so far, you'll certainly gobble this book up as well, I promise! If you haven't read any books of the series yet and you love contemporary romance; Read the Books! Everything I've read so far from this series was such a joy to read. I can't wait to read the rest of the books I haven't read so far and I can't wait for what's more to come in the series <3
