Honestly, KA Tucker never ceases to amaze me with her writing.
This third book in the Burying Water series is wonderful. It could be read as a standalone, with minor "uhhh what" moments! It's been a while since I finished the first two, and I still completely understood everything.
I don't even know where to begin in accurately revising this book. I rarely am able to fully enjoy a book written outside of the U.S., because my knowledge of those places are lacking. However, Ireland may just become my new favorite destination-to-be-explored!
If you've heard Jamie Dornan talk, you'll understand why this book had me hooked right away. Sexy Irish boys? Yes please! River is anything but what you'd expect, given the history you learn about him.. His brother does nothing to lighten the struggle River will face.
This is a story of a lone traveler who walks into danger, time and time again, only to be saved by a Delaney. With Ambers entire idea of herself shattered, she decides to take a risk, and step out of her control freak comfort zone. And when she does, she finds more than she could have ever imagined.
I would recommend this book to anyone, it's a great read, heartwarming and fear invoking, but in the end absolutely everything you'd want out of a lust at first sight book... Only its not •really• at first sight ;)

My Rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
Disclaimers: I received a copy of this novel from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not obligated to write a good review nor did I receive any compensation for writing this review.
My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I adored this book. It's the first one I've read by this author, but I've had her on my radar for forever. I just always thought I'd like her stuff.
This one proved that statement true. I adored this book. Her writing style is great, the characters were intriguing, and the plot line hooked me in from the get-go.
I loved the setting of Dublin and the backdrop to the IRA. It was fascinating and truly original.
I felt like I was reading a book unlike anything I'd ever previously read. Truly a fantastic read.
The Characters: The characters were multi-faceted. None were perfect; none were tragically flawed. I loved watching them interact.
Major Strengths: The writing itself, the characters, the plot, basically everything.
Major Weaknesses: The pacing might have slowed at times, but not enough to frustrate me. I thought the ending was a little bit too loose for my liking, but I still enjoyed the book.
So why 4 stars? It stood out of the crowd and caught my attention.
Can I read the series out of order? Yes, I kind of figured the book was probably a companion story to some others, but I never felt lost while reading. It did make me want to go read the previous two in the series though.
Warnings/Side-notes: Some sexual references (fairly vague, more like YA than adult). Instances of strong language and violence.
The Wrap-up: A fun, addicting read.
Love,
Danica Page

This has to be my favourite of this series, so much more interesting and engaging; also it's made me like Amber, I wasn't a fan of her in book one but she really grew up in this.
Also River and Rowan...

KA Tucker did it again with this captivating story!
It absolutely loved the story of River and Amber, finally a guy with an accent to really amp up the characters. Amber is just your typical girl trying to find herself and she was relatable, always wants to play it safe and plan for everything. River threw that all out the window when they meet and you can't help but fall in love with them falling in love.
I enjoyed that this story left the United States, as most of the KA's happen in the U.S., it was new and exciting for this to take place across the ocean. I felt like I was experiencing Europe right along with Amber.
The only part I didn't like about the novel was all the criminals and trying to figure out which gang they belonged to or who they pissed off.
Overall this book was amazing, it did not disappoint and I couldn't wait to read what happens with River and Amber. I'm so excited for the next book!

I ADORED Burying Water so was very excited to read Ambers story in Chasing River.
Unfortunately, it took me a bit to get into this story. But once I did, I couldn’t put it down.
I just felt that the first half of the book did drag, and then the last half of the book is full of action and romance - which I then felt was rushed.
I highly enjoyed River. His humour and addictive personality, had me addicted to reading his chapters. I couldn’t relate to Amber much however, I did enjoy her character development from a proper sheriff good girl - to finding herself and realising who she is and wants to be.
I felt like this story wasn’t over and I would be keen to read a sequel involving these two characters again, as well as Alex and Jesse from Burying Water.
3.5 stars.
