Welcome Back Kings!!!

This story felt perfect, like a warm blanket on a cold day perfect!!! I loved Zo’s charisma and personality and maturity and open-mindedness and love. I loved Nye’s personality and self-awareness and vulnerability and realness. I loved Launz’s heart and his willingness and openness to his son. The provision he made for his kid and how he was just a mans man. He was guarded, but he wasn’t a jerk. He was suspicious of Nye, and rightfully so, but he wasn’t mean. He loved his son enough, to open himself to someone whose presence in his life he had ambivalent feelings about, but LB is so awesome at what she does that and every element of this story just felt PERFECT!!!

Can I Trust You

Launz and Nye are my newest sweethearts. But it took me a minute to fall in love with them. I loved their story and their journey.

I truly adore Nye.
Against all odds, trauma, mental and physical abuse, Nye
survived. Broken and in need of her very soul being healed, she still managed to raise a wonderful son.

Launz. I just wanted to hug Launz until he allowed himself to have a good cry. Cry for what and who he lost at age 22. Just a healing relief cry.

Reading Love’s Encroachment, is like unpacking three full suitcases...a lot to sort through. But well worth it.

Well done Author Love Belvin.
#ImGonnaMakeYouLoveMe

The Kings are back! And it looks like we missed a lot of drama while they were gone.

This was a good read and it definitely held my interest. But I just couldn’t connect with the characters. Nye reminded me way too much of Jade, and Launz was too passive. And while I really liked Zo, and the way the Pierce family embraced him so wholeheartedly, it was all just too neat and clean. LB does high drama, messy, and over the top like no other, but I didn’t get that from this book. I read the Muted Hopelessness Series right before reading this one and it gave everything it needed to give. EVERYTHING!!! LB excels at sagas; I think this story needed to be told over more than 1 book.

If you are a Connecticut Kings fan, or you love a good read, check this one out!

Initially, I was hesitant to read this- I was going in blind and was confused by the direction. Then I paused and read a few reviews, then was even more convinced I shouldn’t read it.
Especially, because I found Nye to be ridiculous and just couldn’t see how Love was going to turn this boat around (so to speak).

But why, oh why did I question this author’s brilliance. I loved every bit. Even Nye’s extraness- which was nothing compared to Jenise’s.

Zo and Launz were the real MVPs. Along with therapy. I loved that HEA wasn’t quick and still evolving. That the trauma they experienced was swept away so easily and the ongoing worked continued.

It was all mature and I loved it.

Good Read

Whewwww!!!...It was the boogers that had me side eying the book!!!...Outside of that, this waz a pretty good book and I loved it!!!...I loved everything about Zo and his personality was so infectious and his generosity was one for the books!!!... I loved the way Alaunzo and Nye relationship grew through the book!!!...

This was different…

When I read the reviews on this story, I thought this was going to be a repeat of Ashton and Tori. It seemed like that was where the story was headed at first but I was pleasantly surprised. I was very apprehensive because I thought this was going to be another underwhelming love story but Nye and Launz just had a star crossed love, even if it was tampered with. As their journey unfolded, I saw that maybe the decades apart were what they needed so that they wouldn’t be overshadowed by the toxic energy of the Gunnery Sergeant and the weight of a youthful mistake. Although both still finding their way, adult Nye and Launz were much better for and to each other.
