Engaging first title of a paranormal series. Enjoyable, interesting backstory.
Ella me ha parecido medio tonta (o tonta y media, depende de cómo se mire) y él no es que me haya vuelto loca, pero al menos mejoran. La historia me llama mucho y tiene todo muy buena pinta, así que sin duda seguiré.

I am scratching my head as to why I kept this on my ‘to be read’ list for so long. I loved the overall concept of the series – immortal warriors who are cursed by gods to have demons inhabit their bodies, burdening each warrior with a horrid compulsions / characteristics: Violence, Wrath, Disease, Doubt, Misery, etc. Their hubris, which was the catalyst for their curse, makes them more “human” and easier to relate to. The distinct personality of each of the warriors, partially developed by the compulsion they carry, makes them quite interesting as individuals and makes for interesting group dynamics – 6+ hot alpha men in one house – HELLO!!!
As for the love birds, they weren’t my absolute favorite couple, but I did like them and found them enduring. I particularly liked Ashlyn whose ability to hear conversations past and present was (a) pretty damn cool, (b) almost created secondary characters that helped develop the story. I also liked that she was kind of girl next door who was attractive in her own way, but not this tall, busty, drop dead gorgeous model. And while I somewhat expected the ending, I did not expect it to be written so well that I was boo hooing.
The only reason I couldn’t give this a full 5 stars was because I felt like I missed some of the background on the new world. I would have liked to get more about the Titans, the Greeks, etc. I’m hoping this will be developed in future books in the series, which I am excited to read.

I'm glad I read the second one first because I'm not sure I would have bothered with this series if I'd read this one first...
I mean, it wasn't awful just slow going with slightly too much exposition and faffing around - I don't have much time for I like him but I shouldn't so I'll assume the worst and not tell the truth so he'll assume the worst and we'll have a pointless fight that we almost can't forgive each other for. I know that without that you have removed half of the romance plots that exist in the world but there must be less trite ways of doing it

Ok. Just too formulaic. And I just can't buy into the instant I-would-die-for-you love between them.
dnf. just too much of a yuck factor to continue. these guys aren't sexy; they're creeps. it's really too bad, as the premise is strong. I may eventually twist this general idea into something else in my own writing
Hmmm. There has been a lot of hype with this series and it comes highly recommended. I'm not sure I see the appeal. It had all the makings of a great series but it fell flat for me. J. R. Ward does a better "warrior" series. Sherrilyn Kenyon's take of Greek mythology is much better. I'm really perplexed as to why this is a 5 star book for most people. Maybe if I had read this before the likes of Sherrilyn Kenyon, J. R. Ward, etc. I would have enjoyed it more but it just didn't do it for me. There are a lot of elements that could be explored that would interest me but the first book in the series was a bit of a disappointment. I'm determined to continue the series, however, so we'll see.

I kinda liked the book and the world building of it. i think it may be one of my favourite parts. Although, Maddox character was enticing, the introduction of Reyes made me more interested in his potential story with Danika. something about him being the bearer of pain is interesting to potentially read and explore . Ashley makes some dumb ass decisions and makes me iffy about the insta-love between the two. Like, I don't hate since it is the premise of the story, but I don't like it either. Both of these characters are 2 dimensional and i just wish we spent more time in the development of their personalities and story, but I get why not because Maddox does die at midnight everyday so I can understand the swiftness of the plot line. Also, why are so many things happening at within 3-4 days??? Like we could have introduced Aeron's part in the story by the second or third book since the second book on Lucien and Anya and not Reyes and Danika, the plot could have worked with just the hunters as the villain and only mentions the Titans as a potential bigger villain at the end of the book.
