After already catching up with this series, I thought I knew what to expect from Racing Savannah, and I was pleasantly surprised at how different, but similar it was to the series. Racing Savannah is more focused on horse racing, and how Savannah is dealing with her families move, and less about the religious aspect that has been portrayed in the previous two books.

Savannah has just moved with her Dad and his girlfriend, not only has she left her home, but also her job, and she now finds herself wanting a new job helping her father. Her interest is initially rebuked, but after a swifty save of an escaping horses, Savannah finds herself under scrutiny during a test to prove her worth to the job. Jack is the owners son, and is a relentless flirt with girls, this comes as no surprise as he hits on Savannah when he first meets her, but after realising who she is he quickly changes his mind.

Racing Savannah was another quick read, and I enjoyed this one so much more than the previous books. I love how we get to catch up with old faces, Parker and Will, Sam and Jordan, Kate and Matt, and I especially like how there are little connections throughout the books, Rory, Savannah's friend is Wills brother. I am also glad I read them in publication order, even though these are companion books, as it would have spoilt the previous books for me.

I really admire Savannah for her bravery, her perseverance, and her ability to carry on regardless of what is thrown in her face. To go through what she has gone through, from the problems in her family life, to problems with work, I have no idea how she did it, and I for one would have been walking out of the door.

The chemistry between Savannah and Jack was scorching at some points, and part of me wanted to give them a little push in the right direction, while the other part of me wanted Savannah to just hold back a bit, so when she has to make a decision I was glad to see it was the right one.

Final Verdict
Racing Savannah has to be my favourite so far, and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next in the next installment.

was not expecting this level of explicitly from miranda kenneally. honestly loved this but jacks decision making skills are questionable & i hate hating the love interest. she was so unfair towards kelsey & we never even got to know her!!!

Oh my goodness. I did not expect to like this book as much as I do. Which is great! Because after "Things I Can't Forget" I was iffy about this book.

Kenneally did such an amazing job with this book! I couldn't help, but envy Savannah's love for horses and riding. I even got butterflies on her first race! That just proves how great of a writer Kenneally is if she can influence the butterflies that lay in my stomach!
Although, I just came to realize that Kenneally displays most guys as prevs and a little badly. It kind of makes me not like her writing, because she goes by assumptions.

Anyway!....

Savannah was so very enjoyable to read about. She almost reminded me of myself with her cursing, opinions, strength, and her losing someone important. I kind of got annoyed with her some times throughout the book. I mean she kept judging and expecting Jack to be this douche or to make her happy, when he was just trying to figure things out as she was and he cared for his family as much as he did, so she was being a hypocrite.
I couldn't get mad at Jack, because it was perfectly clear that he cared for her, but he valued his family over his happiness.

What was kind of a downer was that I wasn't drawn to the characters as I was with the previous books.

Their relationship was very cute, though, but they still don't beat Jordan+Sam Henry and Parker+Will.

Speaking of them. I AM SO EXTREMELY CONTENT AND FLIPPING HAPPY THAT SHE GAVE US A GLIMPSE INTO ALL THE OLD CHARACTERS' LIVES! Oh my God. I swear every time they were mentioned I would scream with joy. Seriously almost got a heart attack from all the delight! To be honest having them in the book was my favorite part!
I flipping KNEW! that Parker and Will would be the ones to get married! But I was really disappointed that Parker and Drew didn't have a dialogue. And Drew wasn't her maid of honor! What!? Kate was! Kate annoyed the crap out of me in "Things I Can't Forget", but I was still happy to read that she was engaged to Matt.
Jordan is going to be coaching the football team at the high school? I'm not sure if she is happy with that. I mean she'll still be around football, but her love was actually playing not watching. Yes, yes I know that her playing with the Pros was highly unlikely, but I'm still kind of bummed for her. So that conclusion of her life was disappointing. Oh and she also doesn't really have any dialogue, just, "Morons." Ah!
I know I know. The book isn't about them, but it's still a tease.
Oh and in the beginning you find out about Ty Green, Jordan's ex, and he is now in the NFL! And dating a supermodel! Wow!
Oh and adorable Joe Carter owns his own restaurant now! Good! I remembered he loved to cook!

Now onto the secondary characters.
It was great that Rory Whitfield, one of Will's little brothers, was in it and her friend. He was a good friend and funny!
SpoilerI'm a bit irritated that you don't find anymore from his family's bankruptcy

Vanessa Green, Ty's little sister, stayed nice and sweet, which was good!
Their romance was cute, as well.

Such a great read! Brightened my day. To be honest, I think I gave it 5 stars because all my favorite characters were mentioned.

If you’re looking for a light, upbeat, contemporary young adult novel, Racing Savannah definitely fits the bill. Racing Savannah is, overall, a feel-good story about love overcoming obstacles. It’s not really a spoiler to say that there’s a happy ending; it’s perfectly obvious that things will work out. The two lead characters are clearly good people — so it’s only a question of how they’ll work past their differences, not if.

The writing is mostly light and breezy, entertaining even when dealing with serious matters. I enjoyed the author’s sense of humor, which is quirky enough to catch me by surprise throughout the book.

There are some good messages about girl power, respecting oneself enough to demand respect from others, and pursuing one's dreams -- but none of this feels heavy-handed or preachy. The portrayals of the various characters avoid teen cliches, which I really appreciated.

All in all, I’m glad to have been introduced to a new-to-me author who takes such a clear-eyed view of life as a teen-aged girl. Miranda Kenneally creates strong, memorable female characters, without skimping on the fun and romance of being young and discovering life.

I received a review copy of Racing Savannah from the publisher. My full review is posted at Bookshelf Fantasies.

As I have said before, this is probably my new favorite series. I devour these books quicker than anything, I finished this book in probably four hours. I couldn’t put it down, I don’t know the author writes some of the best books I have ever read before.

Savannah has just moved to Franklin from Virgina and is helping her dad on the farm they live on. When she meets Jack, the son of the farm owner, her whole world turns on its side. She makes new friends, falls in love, rides horses and does so much more. But will the fact that she doesn’t have money stop her from getting what she truly wants?

Miranda Kenneally does it again by writing one of the best books I have read in a long time. I love how these books are sex positive, have strong female characters, character development, parents who are actually smart and just are all around the best. Something that I loved SO much in this book was that we got to see characters from the past three books.

We have the siblings of Will and Ty coming together and befriending Savannah which is SO cute! We get to see what Kate, Parker and Jordan are all up to and that made me so happy!

I loved this book if you can’t already tell from all the gushing I have done. The writing is fantastic and I FLY through these books. Which makes me sad because I wish I could savor them longer but I CANT! They are THE BEST!

If you’re looking for a fast, fun, and just plain amazing series please read this one! I need someone else to fan with!

I love the characters in this series and every story shows how they get over their own personal hurdles and the hurdles they have as a couple. The writing was emotional and grasped me as a reader throughout the book.

I couldn't get on board with Jack. He was a total tool for the entire book and I didn't feel like he ever redeemed himself.

This is one of my least favorite Keneally books. I liked it only slightly more than Stealing Parker.
