Okay this book had no business being as good as it was. I swear to god I did not guess a single plot twist in this thing. Every time I thought I had it, I was dead wrong and it really kept me on my toes. Not only that but it was sweet and funny, not to mention heart-wrenching. Dealing with grief always shows in different ways and I think that this book is a fantastic example of many ways that it can be expressed. It's beautiful and I really just can't get over the fact that this is a young adult book with such heavy themes. I can't wait to see what the author does next!.

This book just didn’t work for me. It’s one of those stories that loses all its power when you know what the big twist is. Unfortunately, I had the twist accidentally ruined for me before I was very far in, but it was already kinda weird and suspicious before that. I don’t think I would have felt much better about it if I had gone in blind. How can anyone read this without feeling ripped off? Perhaps a younger reader would go for this type of plot, but it was a bit painful for me. And that ending - ugh! A letdown after Five Feet Apart.

i don’t have the words to describe this book. it’s fantastical but realistic, it’s dreamy but pessimistic, it’s everything and nothing at the same time. i enjoyed it a lot, you just gotta be willing to believe in things.

if you let yourself get lost in this book, you’ll love it.

Something with this book didn't click for me. Normally I love books by Rachael Lippincott but this one felt romance targetted. With the main character undergoing a deep loss, I wasn't able to connect with him and understand his actions because there were very few pages about his ex girlfriend in the first place. What we did see was a quick breakup scene, him worrying about them breaking up for two pages, and a car accident where the girl immediately died. And funnily enough, no one else is mourning? His best friend "finished" his mourning two months before the main character did, and the main character's mom doesn't appear to be sad at all? It feels very odd and imbalanced. Every time I read it I hate it more. Then, as soon as the main character started going out of the house more (there were only one or two chapters where he was in deep depression and living in his room, and then his mom came in and saved him, so we didn't get to even see his mourning process) he ran into a girl with whom he immediately fell in love with. to be fair, he is worrying that it's too soon to like somebody else with his girlfriend dying and all, but his mom keeps pressuring him to date her and it's like... is no one else mourning? Does no one else care about this girl who died?

In Mikki Daughtry and Rachael Lippincott's "All This Time," Kyle's girlfriend breaks up with him and then promptly dies. (Talk about dying mad about it.) How is he supposed to move on? The very simple amd overly complex answer is Marley, in a way that even Kyle's best friend, Sam, can't understand.
As the story progressed, Kyle learns who he is on his own amd howbto reach other people through their own grief. But the question remains, what does Kimberly think of Kyle moving on like this?
This one kept the midnight lamp oil burning late into the night!! I found myself muttering that all too familiar chant, "just one more chapter." Needless to say, I eventually ran out of chapters.

4 stars.

I knew I was going to like this. I really enjoyed [b:Five Feet Apart|39939417|Five Feet Apart|Rachael Lippincott|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1529358577l/39939417._SY75_.jpg|61834577] and when I learnt that this book was written by the same authors and about someone dealing with a brain injury, I was sold right away. I even pre-ordered the book, which is something I don't do often.

And then I let it catch dust on my shelf for a few months.

But when the Buzzwordathon had a prompt to read a book with "Time" in the title, I knew I had to pick it up. And I'm so glad I finally did it.

Kyle was such a nice, flawed main character. For once, I actually felt like I was reading about a teenage boy and about how he was learning to live with the accident and the loss of his (ex) girlfriend Kimberly. He did swear quite a bit, which was something I wasn't exactly used to considering this is young adult, not new adult.

Actually, I think this book is kind of on the edge between, but mostly leaning towards YA. While it discussed some NA things (like, college and becoming an adult, etc), the romance part of this was for sure not steamy enough to be considered NA.

Anyway, back to the characters... Marley. I didn't care too much about her, but I didn't hate her. She's shy, and a storyteller, and an introvert who needs to learn to open up to others after dealing with her own loss. But she made Kyle happy, so I can't complain.

Then something happens in the book and I have to admit, I didn't see the twist coming at all. And I love the twist. It completely caught me off guard and I was thrown into the more "sick-lit" part of the book, really focussing on the trauma Kyle had to deal with. I definitely struggled to put the book down afterwards.

I really hope Mikki and Rachael will write more stories together, because at this point, I'm ready for more and I will for sure pre-order it again. Their writing style is so nice and easy to understand, yet quite accurate and I noticed they really know how to capture that hospital feel. Great job!
