So... I listened to this one on audio. This is the second book in the London Lovers series. This story focuses on Hayden and Vi. They meet at the very end of Not the One. The first thing I need to say is the narration for the book was outstanding. There was a male and female narrator and they dual narrated throughout the whole thing, just like in normal conversation rather than chapter to chapter. And I can state for a fact that there is nothing hotter than a man with a British accent narrating sex scenes. So hot!
The story was amazing. Hayden has lived a tough life over the past 4 years since his sister died. He has overcome suicide attempts, depression and rehab. He is focusing on staying on the straight and narrow. The thing is that he falls for Vi and is troubled by how his feelings for her make him feel out of control. He has maintained that he is not going to have any relationships. Vi is just about the cutest character out there. An independant woman who is trying to show everyone that she can take care of herself without her 4 brothers and Hayden trying to manage her life.

After I finished Challenge, I was so intrigued with Vi and Hayden I had to read their story. Ms. Daws did not disappoint. This was an incredibly moving story about two people whose lives brought them so much pain, that they were unable to see themselves as others do. Thankfully, they were able to see what they couldn't in each other. A wonderful, but difficult, love story. Ms. Daws definitely has a fan in me.

I don’t know how I missed this one! I thought I was totally caught up with Amy’s London Lover’s series so I moved onto the Harris Brothers Series. I loved Vi in that series and kept wishing I knew more about her and Hayden’s story. Luckily their story is here and it is EVERYTHING! It was beautiful, emotional, and uplifting. I loved Vi and Hayden so much. Both of them had gone through so much, and had struggled for so long. In each other they found strength, courage, love, and acceptance. It was gut wrenching at times, but their love for each other was strong enough to put back all the broken pieces moment by moment. I loved Vi’s relationship with her brothers. She loved them and took care of them for so long. She was a great sister and held her family together. But she and Hayden found everything they had been missing in each other.
For those of you who are new to Amy Daws’ work, Strength was originally titled That One Moment and was part of her London Lover’s series. It’s the same story, but after Vi’s brother’s got their own series, it seems fitting that Vi and Hayden’s story be included in that series with a cover that matches the rest. I adore this cover revamp and the bonus content and extra epilogue is awesome. I think their story fits perfectly into the Harris Brother’s series, so if you haven’t yet, definitely check it out. If you’ve read That One Moment, I’d still recommend grabbing Strength for all the bonus content and extra epilogue that has been added to the original story.

“I forgot about the pain. I forgot about the cause. I forgot about everything leading up to this one incredibly profound moment. This one moment that I chose was permanent. In that one moment….I had finally erased my life forever.”
“Hayden Clarke has just entrusted me with the deepest, darkest part of his soul. In that briefest flicker of time ticking away on the watch around his wrist, I do exactly what my soul is screaming in agony for me to do. What my heart is pounding beneath my chest in anticipation for. I kiss him. God do I kiss him.”
Some say that your life is defined by moments. By good moments and by bad moments. And for Hayden, his life has been comprised of many challenging and life altering moments. Ever since I finished Not The One, I have been dying. I mean dying to get my hands on Hayden’s story. His character just captivated and consumed me, begging me to find out more about this beautifully complicated man. And I gotta tell you, Hayden’s story does not disappoint. His story took my expectations and threw them out of the window. And what I was left with was an incredibly moving and powerful story….
That One Moment is one of those stories that just grabs you instantly and will leave you utterly captivated. This story is not easy. In fact, it has some very dark and intense moments. But, I have to say, Amy Daws did an amazing and honest job in telling Hayden’s story. She answered all my questions and made me fall even more in love with this complicated man. There were so many moments where my heart just ached for everything that Hayden went through. It was truly incredible to see him rise up from rock bottom and become a stronger man. And I couldn’t have asked for a better match for Hayden than what he found in Vi. Vi was far from perfect as she had her own demons to battle, but the connection that these two shared was unlike any other. She knew that Hayden had a dark and complicated past, but she didn’t let that scare her away. However, what I really loved was the depth of Vi’s feelings for Hayden. Her feelings were genuine and she saw something in him that the other’s didn’t see. She saw the man and not the scars….And with lines like these: “She looks at me as if my scars allow her to love me even more.” & “Your forever is mine, Vi. Your forever belongs to me…whether you’re ready to accept it or not.”, it was impossible to not fall in love with these characters.
That One Moment is told from dual points of view and is incredibly well written. I loved everything about this story; from start to finish. It had the perfect mix of romance and angst. The angst….OMG, the angst….There were so many beautiful, gut-wrenching, heartbreaking moments. I could just feel my heart being tugged at and I loved every moment of it. That One Moment took me on such an incredible journey, that I’m still having a hard time trying to put all my thoughts into words that make sense. So, this is what I will leave you with. That One Moment will give you all the feels. It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It will frustrate the hell out of you. It will break your heart. It will make you swoon—Oh, how it will make you swoon. But, most of all, you will fall in love. You will fall in love with these beautiful broken characters and I can only hope that their story will grab your heart, just as it did mine. This is definitely one of my favorite reads of 2016.

That One Moment is the beautiful story of two souls who come together to be a part of something larger than either one alone. Hayden believes he is damaged and broken. But, Vi doesn't see him that way. She recognizes the trauma he's experienced but sees beyond those attributes. Vi has had her own challenges and finds that her relationship with Hayden heals some of her wounds as well. The story contains a fair amount of angst, but also reveals a heartwarming romance for two people who deserve happiness. The audiobook is presented in duet style narration and is an absolutely joy to listen to! You don't want to miss the story or the listening experience!

It’s really not surprising that I loved this book lets be real. I love Amy Daws and I’m always so excited to get the opportunity to read and review any of her books. Amy has such a way with words and she’s great at pulling all of my hearts strings. That One Moment is no exception. I really love the emotions that are invoked while reading her books. They make me laugh, cry, and fall in love with her characters.
That One Moment is the second book in the Lost in London series which is a spin-off of the London Lovers series Amy has written prior to this. Though it wouldn’t be necessary to read all of the books in theses series to be able to follow along in this book I would HIGHLY suggest that you pick up book one of the Lost in London series, Not The One, before reading this one.Hayden, one of the mains, story is really important in that one and it would really help to understand the whole situation. Characters from the past books are in this one so to fully get the feels and enjoyment starting from the beginning would be the best route (Theo and Leslie play an important part in this story and their story is book 3 of The London Lovers) Honestly if you haven’t read The London Lovers you really should its a lot of fun and I think you would really enjoy it!
Anyways, That One Moment follows two characters who we got to meet in the past books who I was really excited to read their own story! Hayden’s story has been in the background for so many stories and I have been dying to get my hands on his and give this poor man some kind of happiness! (He might be my favorite character just because we get to spend so much time focused on him through out the books but its really hard to pick just one favorite in this series :P) i Vi also was a character I wanted to have her own story. We met her awhile back and I am absolutely thrilled to have her front and center for this novel.
This novel deals with a lot of deep materiel and handles it really well. Some of the triggers include depression, alcohol abuse, suicide, and suicidal thoughts. I wanted to make sure to through that out there in case anyone needed to avoid one of those since they play a huge role in this novel. You can really see that Amy did her research to be accurate and thoughtful and handles it so well.
This story takes place months after the last time we saw Hayden. He has been released and is going to a therapist who suggests the best way to get over the feelings he still possesses is to tell a stranger his life story. Hayden’s been so stuck in his head and around people who know everything about him that a fresh face could really benefit him in the long run! This is where Vi(and Bruce) comes along!
There story was really slow burning which was perfect pacing for me. At least with these characters if the romance went any faster I don’t think the story would work. Hayden and Vi both have their own ghosts and past that the romance going to fast would of felt unauthentic. I’m really glad that Amy picked these characters to be together they really work. Vi is exactly what Hayden needed.
I’m always really excited to see what Amy has up her sleeve next but I’m really curious where she is heading after this one. We were introduced to Vi’s brothers in this one and their stories would be a lot of fun to read! I mean they said they’d never settle down so they basically set themselves to be the next story, right? I’m still holding out for Frank having his own book! It would be so much fun to read from his perspective.
Anyhow you’ve hit it out of the park once again Amy girl! I can’t wait to read more by you in the future!

Good god! With each book I read, from Amy Daws, I am blown away by her talent. She has a way with words, humour and real love that really tugs on the heartstrings and dances on your funny bone. With each book she continues to get better and better, even when I think there is no way she can beat her previous, BAM, she does it again. After this book, the follow-up to Not the One, I am certain that Daws is destined to be a bestselling author.
In this story, we are following Vi and Hayden. We get a look at their lives and where they are headed. This gives us a very unique perspective, versus the previous book.
I loved getting to know Hayden better. He is such a sweetie, even though he struggles daily to convince himself of his worth. He is a true gent and really fights to be what he loves and do what he believes in. He is determined in all aspects, except finding love, which is why it is so brilliant that she finds him.
Vi is a lovely character as well. She may have crazy protective brothers and one mental dog, but she is kind and true. She sees Hayden for who he is and what he wants to be. She believes in him and in them. I loved her attitude and the depth of personality that Daws gave her. Such a brilliant character.
The story was absolutely fantastic. The romance was very real. It had humour, tears, anger and every other emotion under the sun (or rain here in the UK), just like a real relationship does. Not everything goes to plan and they have to take it on the fly. I love that and getting to see their choices and reactions, as Daws has a real way of making their lives completely believable and realistic. I found it very easy to connect with them and, as always, Daws had me cheering for them to be together and happy.
Overall, this is a brilliant read. I highly recommend reading Not the One, or hell both that and the London Lovers series, first. It isn't needed and this truly can be read as a standalone, but the characters weave in and out of the books so beautifully that I really think you'd love it.
**I Received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Thank you to the author, Amy Daws, for gifting me with a copy of That One Moment in exchange for an honest review!
This is the second book in a series and while it isn't totally necessary to read the previous book, I would highly recommend it as there are quite a few references to the previous book. With that in mind, let's dive in!
1. Hayden and, to a lesser extent, Vi. These two are our MC's. We get alternating POV's in this book (which I'll cover in the next bullet) between these two. I really liked their characters for the most part. They were unapologetic ally themselves and they each had little quirks about them that made them both so fun to read about and hear from. However, sometimes I felt really frustrated with Hayden. The book picks up after his suicide attempt, which, obviously messes a person up mentally and I really don't have much experience with it. But it just felt like Hayden could not get over himself and he put himself before other people. I realize that's part of his treatment and healing is to make sure he takes care of himself, but one of the things that goes into being a good human being and feeling like you belong is taking care of other people to. This is where Vi comes in. She's such a great character. I just hope, later in their story, that she doesn't get buried and Hayden doesn't forget that she has feelings too and everything he says and does has an impact.
2. The alternating POV. I really liked the author's decision to write this book as an alternating POV book. It really fits the story and the plot material well and shows both sides of the story. I have to say, if it wasn't alternating POV and we just heard from Vi, I would have told her to run from Hayden as fast as she could because it wasn't a healthy relationship at all. However, because we get to see Hayden's side and understand what he's trying to work through with himself and how Vi is helping him so much (and baby Marisa!), it makes you realize how beneficial a relationship like theirs is.
3. The plot. One of my favorite things about this book is the plot. I loved how Hayden made his way through his new life and tried to make sense of everything. We get to follow him on his journey as he starts to understand that being alive doesn't necessarily mean that you're living. You have to truly take part in the world and feel as though you belong somewhere. Another thing I wanted to mention: I love the setting and how it interweaves with the plot so well. It's set in London and the setting plays such a huge role.
4. Just a few notes about the content. Just an FYI, there is abundant swearing in this book although I think it really goes with the characters. Also, the sexual content is meant for a mature audience. As I think you've gathered, the book centers around suicide and it's rippling effects.
The Final Verdict:
A touchingly gritty love story that follows the characters through the process of rediscovering themselves. The plot is definitely my favorite part with the alternating POV's facilitating the story-telling. Be advised, there is mature content.
