This was surprisingly good! Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I loved it. Everyone should read it. It is such a good book and I love reading. It only took me a little bit to read it. Not counting all the times I had to put it down because of school.

I started reading this book so early in the morning I almost fell asleep during the first few chapters. After a while things got interesting, but only because I thought James was into Kate big time. (I'm still not sure what to think about his feelings for her. ) I loved seeing that whole ' I'm a good kid, we shud b frendz' thing.
then the thing with Ava.. what the duck happened there?? I mean. after everything I understand.. but I was so confused!

Eventhough I think most of the things were to be expected and you could see them coming for miles.. I quite liked this, and km just about to start in book 2!

bring it on, Aimee Carter!

refreshing take on the Greek Gods/Goddesses.

It started out slow but the second half of the book it really picked up. It is not my favourite Greek mythology adaptation but it was an interesting take and I did enjoy it. Sometimes the twists felt out of no where but it was still good. The progression of the relationship seemed a bit strange pacing wise but it was not to the point of feeling ridiculous just rushed which does make sense given the premise. There was a lot of development for the main character and some of the other characters while others I think were under-utilized but maybe that will be fixed in the subsequent books.

I actually started to enjoy this book from the very beginning. Sadly, it went quickly went downhill.

Kate was a good heroine at first: she was strong, did not have any annoying habits (imo) and she seemed to be the kind of girl you could really admire and root for.

However, halfway into the book, I started to dislike how slow she was when it came to putting the piece together and also I didn't really understand why she was so mad at some of the other characters (then again I never did relate well to melodramatic teens).

Another complaint of mine was the portrayal of the Greek mythologies. I love the myths, and I consider myself to know at least most of the basics.

By the end of the book, I was greatly annoyed with the gods'/goddess' uncharacteristic behaviours and how bland the personalities seemed.

Also, a big let down were the tests. I seriously thought that they would be a lot more epic. Apparently, doing practically everyday tasks can count as climactic tests. Honestly, it should've been something more meaningful like, accepting death (particularly her mother's), since she is going to be the goddess of the underworld, right?

I could go on about Henry, but this review is from my iPhone and I can't type nearly as well as I can on my laptop, so I'll conclude! =D

The book's concept and beginning were pretty good. It was the characters, implementation of the Greek myths and the anticlimactic ending that really unwound the book though.

Sad to say, I don't think I will be picking up the next book of the series.

i thought it was cute, kept me reading.. i was alittle confused till the end wraped up my questions... the end is a long time to wait

Really good book.
After reading this book I compaired it to "The Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series, but that isn't really fare. In one sence they are alike because they bring the humans and the "Olympians" together and they all look human even though they are not. But other than that the books have nothing the same about them. The ending was (mostly) a shocker but unfortunatley the Prologue at the begining of the book ruined the whole story for me because it gave to much away. So please if you haven't read the story yet then DON'T read the Prologue when you do get around to reading it. It is a highly addictive book that I finished in 5 hours (I am a speed reader) and I loved every minute of it, it kept me guessing till the very end. I didn't have high hopes for the book but I am glad I read it. Oh and the description for the book SUCKS! it makes it sound alot better then what it actually is. So the reasoning for only 4 stars is because -1 star for the prologue ruining the book for me.

When i started reading this book i did not know what to think about it. I do not like these simple school story's, like there is a girl who's in love with a popular boy from the football team of the school. But i got through it and when Henry came into the story I started to love it.
I finished this book in one day because i was so curious what would happen!
I loved every single moment in this book and I haven't read a book so fast since a big time.
I do not really understand why there are so many bad revieuws on this book, because for me this was the best book I've read in a long time!
