On the one hand, this book falls into all of the classic business book blunders. It's twice as long as it needs to be. It has cutesy acronyms for subsection 3 of the second part of the second overall point. The case studies are excruciatingly hand-crafted.

On the other hand, I've thought about this book every day since I finished it. It's affected how I talk to my coworkers, my spouse, and my kids. I know I will come back to it over and over.

Recommended for everyone who has to communicate. Which is everyone.
informative slow-paced

I read this for work and found it to have very useful, actionable advice. I've since gifted two copies.

This is one of those books that has a great idea, great information expanded with filler to turn it into a book. I get impatient with that, but four stars for offering truly useful information for navigating crucial conversations.

Wow! This book has been so helpful when navigating my career and the crazy conversations I have to have with people. I'm really young in my career and am not well versed in the political games that I never thought I would have to play, being as I am an engineer. So helpful!
informative reflective fast-paced

There is a lot of strategies and techniques to digest. Honestly believe I will reference back to this book when problem solving and working towards communication. Highly recommend.

it’s a much better substitute to “Non-violent communication” by Marshal Rosenberg
informative reflective

Had some great view points and discussions, but verrrrry drawn out. The first 30 pages it just kept repeating “this is what we’ll be talking about” I don’t wanna read about what I’m going to be reading about just give me the meat and potatoes
