This book contains some useful information and perspectives. However, the "method" presented seems overly bulky and complex to really run through every time you are having a crucial conversation. Especially if you happen to find yourself in one unexpectedly. I can see the value in considering all these things in advance or some of them while speaking. However, I simply will not be able remember 7 acronyms while simultaneously conversing. Also, the whole writing style and tone of this book is irritating. Business self-help style at it's worst. Blech.
Information worth considering. Not as fabulous as had been reported.

Super practical handbook on how to have difficult conversations. One star knocked off because there was not a deep enough engagement for conversations where power differentials exist (like the woman trying to address sexual harassment with her coworker).

I'll never be into reading business books but at least it's done and I can get it off my TBR shelf.
The book itself had a couple good tips and some ideas for ice breakers that will probably help me. Doesn't mean it was my "book of the year".

I found this super helpful and it does feel like magic when you utilize a skill and you get better results when in conversation with someone. I do have a quibble about all the authors being men because I think it shows, especially in some stereotypical behavior attributed in the role plays to imaginary women. Overall, good book, maybe get a woman author in here for some better gender dynamics in the workplace type stuff.
