I'm freaking out! Just when I get accustomed to how this is going to play out...Jessica Hawkins gives me another cliffhanger!

Not everything is as it seems, I knew that from the beginning of book one, Violent Delights. Now Violent Ends tortures the readers with all we can have like a buffet as far as the eye can see. Possibilities and endless opportunities await yet the lock between us and all we could ever want, need, desire is impenetrable. One unbreakable lock separates us from everything...the key we need to enter the nirvana spread out before us is locked away in Violent Triumphs. Far out of our reach and just enough in our minds to torture us without even lifting a finger. Bravo Ms. Hawkins. If writing doesn't pan out psychological warfare might be more lucrative.šŸ˜³ Just saying...

The need I felt for Ends is underwhelming compared to the crackling anger floating through my body in a desperate ploy to avenge my need for Violent Triumphs. So be wary of others who have read Ends and avoid your friends post read, I'm afraid it will turn into some sort of zombie apocalypse with our greedy hands grabbing at everything between us and Triumph.

Never in a million years did I think I could jump from a 2-star first book to a 5-star second book. I almost didn't give this book a chance and I am SO grateful I did! This book improved leaps and bounds from the first!

It starts right after the wedding. You think Christiano is going to require Natalia to do him right there in the church but like the king he is, he just gives her a new dress! Of course, she goes to his home and slowly, so slowly, starts to realize he isn't the demon she's made him into in her mind. I wish she would have been a little faster figuring it out, but man that slow burn is delicious!

Christiano is the PERFECT alpha character. The perfect amount of protective and supportive. He freaking starts training her so she can defend herself and is constantly rooting for her to grow her confidence and take control of her life. I feel bad for the poor dude because he really does love her but how he acquired her was yucky. As much as I found myself wishing Natalia would just forgive him, I had to respect her anger too. She was literally ripped from her home, found out her first love sucked, and then thrust into a new life. She was doing the best she could in a hard situation.

I loved this entire fucking book. I loved when Christiano had her Mother's wedding dress fixed. I loved Jazmin and how she was always going to bat for Christiano. She saw the true him and really was a helping hand in getting Natalia to realize how great he is. The smut scene in this book was maybe the hottest thing I have ever fucking read. Damn. So good.

Poor Christiano having to travel to try and prove he didn't kill Natalia's mother made me sad. I guess I can understand why Natalia couldn't fully believe him but didn't he prove enough with his actions? The man literally saves women from horrible situations. Why the hell would he murder your Mother? I'm convinced freaking Diego was behind that murder and I can't wait for Natalia to use her training against that slimy bastard.

I am aching to read the next book!! I cannot wait to find out what happens! I mean freaking Christiano is stabbed and Natalia is screaming! I can't handle the cliffhanger! I must know what happens!

I was a little hesitant to read this book because the first in the series didn't knock my socks off. However, I am so glad that I decided to read this book! Ms. Hawkins writing captivated me from the prologue. There were times that Natalia really annoyed me but overall, I enjoyed her story. I also love that there were chapters from Cristiano's point of view sporadically throughout this book. They were not overpowering but placed strategically to enhance the plot. In the end, this book left me excited for the third book in the series!

This was bloody brilliant I loved this book so much!!!!
The fucking dynamic between Cristiano and Natalia made me want to die in a good way!! The angst and the banter was amazing!!!! I love them so much together!!
Natalia is very headstrong in this book which I loved and Cristiano was just ahhhhhhh. We learn so much about him and who he really is then what he his perceived to be and I love him!!!!!
And that ending has made me very nervous!!!

Wow!!!! I have no words! Violent Ends is everything!! So much raw emotion and a page turner! I definitely grew to love Cristiano more in this book but Natalia still seems to have lots of inner struggles. I thought book one ended with a huge cliffhanger but I was wrong!! This is by far Jessicaā€™s best writing to date in my opinion and I absolutely cannot wait for Violent Triumphs!!

I was absolutely blown away by the first book in this trilogy. It was phenomenal and unputdownable. Violent Ends, however, did not have that same effect on me.

Jessica Hawkins' writing is superb, donā€™t get me wrong, but this book just didnā€™t excite me the way Violent Delights did. It just seemed like a book of just filler. Nothing major happened that really drove the plot. I wanted to bitchslap the heroine, I absolutely hated her in this book. And then, WHAM! Cliffhanger.

I hope the third book is as good as the first, but book two was so mediocre. Hereā€™s to hoping the heroine redeeems herself next time around, because I want to be able to cheer her on, and not want to slap her into next week.

OK WHAT THE FUCK!!

This was sooooo much better than the first book. But first, THAT ENDING!!!! Woah is all I have to say...

I was gripped from the beginning. I could not put it down - I practically read it in one sitting. There was a lot more going on in this book compared to the first one AND I am HERE for this drama. I particularly loved the whole ā€œeverything is not what it seemsā€ vibe. This whole book was a ride.

The author really developed the characters in this book. In the first book, I felt like Natalia was too weak and delicate but here she started to come into her own. AND Cristiano urgh itā€™s a rollercoaster I was conflicted by him in the first book but now I 100% am in love with him!!! I also loved how the author developed all of the side characters and took the time to explore their back stories (TW: conversations about physical abuse). It truly built the whole world and background to how they got there.

I have such high expectations for the final book now. Judging by the jump between Violent Delights to Violent Ends, I am practically jumping out of seat in excitement to read Violent Triumphs.
