4.1 AVERAGE

Though I found the intro to be confusing and I keep mixing up b-characters I still love this series. Gotta find that third one now!

I was lost at some parts, but still excited to read the next one!

I enjoyed this just as much as the last volume, the art style is so silly and fun it makes it a joy to read. I love the nostalgic feel of the panelling, reminiscent of early internet memes and formatting. The story is very similar to its other mediums, albeit with a few extra details and attention to characters. Overall a good read, might get the rest at some point if I can be bothered, although they are a little pricey.

Totally cute and witty. I can see why Lisa likes this so much.

In volume 2 we dive into Scott's past, his high school girlfriend and the girlfriend who drove him into a year long depression.  Scott also has to fight Ramona's 2nd evil ex boyfriend.  Ramona also has a right, with Scott's ex, Knives.

Love the tone of the book and the art, it's like manga but colored and set in Toronto.  It also captures that early 20 something feeling really well.

Basically the same as the first one, the only difference being that you learn a little more. Actually, it's kinda hard to review these as separate entities. But anyway, it's enough to keep me reading.

This series is so good!!!!! I love the art style and the humor and the characters.

Entertaining but shallow, Volume 2 is much superior to the first volume. There is some backstory and we get a little bit of explanation for why Scott would be a good fighter but it still seems out of character. The book is not to be taken seriously, which is the way it’s written, and this volume feels like it knows what it is more so than the previous one. I am still struggling, though, with liking Scott. He just comes off as such lazy bum and all the characters have no direction in their life.

Hmm, I'm giving this book more stars because this one really brought out the back-stories of the characters and made Scott's life more believable somehow. Also I'm beginning to really like Scott... He's turning out to be quite an endearing little fellow as compared to Book #1 where I just thought he was stupid for dumping his highschool girlfriend and running after someone else. Ramona also seems more likeable here. The subtle humour that Scott's friends employ to kid him out of things (Wallace and Kim mostly) brings out some laughs. And though Scott may seem like a lazy, jobless, tired 20-something guy, he's got a few talents up his sleeve. The fighting, yes. But cooking? Honestly? That was a lovely surprise!

Definitely picked up after a pretty slow start
