A space pirate romance! Definitely original and I'm glad Ruby Dixon brought this series to life.

Kivian is probably my favourite character in this installment. There is just something about witty sarcastic flirters that just intrigues my interest. Fran on the other hand was just, "meh" in my mind which is unfortunate. But then again was I expecting a fully fleshed out characters in a 200 page book? Not really... So for the little story we got I really appreciate the characters nonetheless.

My disappointment is the twiddling of thumbs in the asteroid belt. We could have gotten an epic chase or final battle to awaken Fran's feelings and make Kivian's true intentions shine. But we got hiding criminals in the belt and a bored out crew.

Will I be reading the rest of the series? Absolutely, Ruby Dixon is my Queen! And this pirate space adventure will be no different. I see so much potential and I'm sure this series will serve to be just as addictive as her other books

I wasn't sure what I was getting into. I've never read an alien/human story before so I thought, what the heck, I'll give it a try!

It wasn't....amazing. I mean the writing seemed a little...eh. Not really detailed and some of the speech was off. Plus...I never thought I'd hear the word 'fascinating' said so many times. And in one chapter!

Fran, the female human, was...rather annoying. At first. She kept referring to her inner self as 'Duh Fran', which kind of sounded....a little whiny and cheesy.

However, the story was pretty engaging. Started out with the alien, known as Kivian, and showed his pirate life and how he's not wanting to settle down. Instead, he's busy swindling in bars with scavengers for crystals and being so charming and funny. I loved Kivian! The gentleman reading the audiobook gave me a perfect picture of who he was and I loved hearing him read instead of Fran. Also, the fact that he was so sweet, charming, and caring made him so much better to read!

The story was action packed, funny, cheesy, and a little steamy. Overall, it wasn't perfect, but I'm definitely happy I tried this out. Also, I'm definitely considering reading the other three books.

While it's not on the Ice Planet, this was still a fun story. I have been putting off reading anything by Ruby Dixon that doesn't take place on Not-Hoth for the longest time. However, this was just as fun and entertaining as my favorite barbarians are.

I only wish it was a little longer. I felt like the characters developed really quickly and it felt off at some points.
