I don't think I gave the book a fair chance. Listening to majority of it a while ago but had a difficulty finishing it because of my mental health going very down. I honestly don't remember my whole thoughts in this but I think I enjoyed it. So ill give it a 3 stars. Might re listen to it in the future or just pick up something else my Aimee Nicole Walker in the future

Locke and Key are at it again with The Purists taking down Savannah's elite one fire/crime at a time.
The romance was spot on again for me as this book was building on the emotions they had just started to really develop in the first book.
More of the players in the Savannah area are brought in Jonah, Felix and Rocky.
You also get to meet Blue's boyfriend Zeke who is precious and I love them.

4.5 sexy detectives falling in love and solving crimes stars

Home wasn’t a place; it was a heartbeat. Royce had found the one he wanted forever.

Audiobook: 5 stars
I fucking love Tristan James’ voice and his narration is so nice, he does an amazing job here. He makes the book sound so fascinating. He does a perfect job here.
This is a lovely audiobook, the story is really fast passed and it’s awesome to listen to it.

Story: 4.5 stars

I’m so in love with Locke and Sawyer and the relationship they have. Like jesus the relationship development in this book is so damn nice. I loved loved that part. I loved seeing them interact, seeing them fall in love more and more every day and I love their banter. These two are so good together and they are clearly made for each other. I love how there is no relationship angst, when they face a problem on the relationship front, they actually talk about it as soon as it happens and they resolve their issue on the spot. They never keep themselves waiting or keep the other in the unknown. They talk and solve the problems together. I love it. These guy have amazing communication, on the job and in their relationship. They already commited to each other and know that they want to be together, so every decision they take is to make that happen, they are dedicated to being together and do everything that they can to make it work. I loved it. And mostly I just loved how these two comminucated and how they always talked to each other and solved their issues together.

As far as story goes, I loved it. I love following these two on their job and I love following them as the solve the crimes. The crime is really interesting in this one and I loved seing it unfold. I had a lot of fun following their investigation. And these two work so damn well together.

Also, Locke and Sawyer are so fucking swoony, damn.

Exhibit A:
“I’m not in love with your looks, your body, or even your sexy brain. I am in love with your heart. You are my home for as long as you’ll have me. I love you.”

Exhibit B:
Royce cupped Sawyer’s face, running his thumb over his smiling lips and, with his heart in his throat, said, “I fucking love you.” Sawyer gasped, and his lips trembled beneath the pad of his finger. “So damn much.” Sawyer closed his eyes, and he inhaled deeply. For once, he wasn’t doing breathing exercises to find patience for Royce. He could tell Sawyer was happy by the serene expression on his face. When he reopened his eyes, Sawyer smiled brilliantly at him. “I love you too. God, I do.”

Rating 4/5

I liked this one more than the first book. The plot is really good, and I say this as a moderate fan of police procedural media.

This is the second in the Royce & Sawyer trilogy, and it's in Royce's POV. Royce has just been promoted to Sergeant, and they are working on a new case.

After the Mayor comes to the chief for help, after she gets a blackmail letter, Royce & Sawyer begin to investigate. It leads them to investigate some arson cases. I love having some time with Blue and his firefighter boyfriend, which are helping with the arson cases. This is my favourite case in this trilogy and involves a purist group causing havoc.

I felt so much for Royce, his view of his best friend was challenged and his secrets were exposed. I really can't stand members of Royce's family, why can't they just be happy for him?! I did do a happy dance with what happened in the bar, go Royce! The ending is really a trial by fire.

Cliffhanger!

This book ended on a cliffhanger, which I don’t like. However, I enjoyed reading the book from Locke’s POV. I’m excited to read the next book.

Sooooo good! I love the intricacy of the plot and subplots in this series. Serious, it's beyond amazing. The progression of Sawyer and Royce's relationship is such a joy. I adore Sawyer's mother beyond reason. Now that I'm reading this series, I realize who Diego is from his stand alone book and will definitely be rereading that and all the others as well. Can't wait to see if we get more Marco closure in book three, though!

Fantastic book

I loved this book. It was just as good as the first! I really enjoyed Sawyer and Royce’s continuing story.

Their relationship is growing in this book and I really loved the path it is taking.

The mystery was great and really flowed well with the romance aspects of the story.

I would recommend reading these books in order as this one continues where the first leaves off just with it being from Royce’s POV

Having thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series I was eager for this one, especially since it was going to be in Royce's POV this time. I loved being in Sawyer's head the first time, but I won't lie and say I wasn't wishing we got a peek into Royce's subconscious during different events. I was surprised by the amount of emotion Royce felt in this book. He tends to come off gruff and have issues putting his emotions out there, but he's learning. There are some pretty sugary moments between him and Sawyer which I may have swooned at.

Home wasn’t a place; it was a heartbeat. Royce had found the one he wanted forever.

In the first book their relationship pretty much existed in their own little bubble. Book 2 shows that bubble getting bigger, including more people. This is new to Royce, navigating life in a relationship with a man, one whom he is starting to realize he doesn't ever want to live without. Not everyone is going to have a positive response and unfortunately we see a bit of this.

We also get more information on Fleabag Felix and his editorial pieces he just loves to flaunt in Sawyer's face. There is more to the story and it gets flushed out. His douchbagery appears to know no bounds. I really wish someone would just punch him in the face.

A single arson case is the crime focus, however always running in the background is Royce's investigation into his old partner Marcus. We are introduced to some new evidence and a new case at the end, but it appears that is going to wait until the 3rd and final book. I am happy to report the final Zero Hour book is going to be dual POV so we get to live in both our heartthrobs heads. I await Miss Walker's final installment with excitement.
