CZEMU TO SIĘ TAK SKOŃCZYŁO??? NO NIE!

Teraz rozumiem

★★★☆☆ - An interesting book, very racist as well.

Of course, I won't surprise anyone by saying [b:Gone with the Wind|18405|Gone with the Wind|Margaret Mitchell|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1551144577l/18405._SY75_.jpg|3358283] is a racist book. Yes, it was written in the 1930s, which can "explain" its racist side (even if racism can't be explained, you understand what I'm trying to say). But even placed in its historical context, you cannot deny the author herself seems to have some very clear white supremacist ideas: she spreading racist stereotypes and literally whitewashing the horrors of slavery.
Besides this massive problem, the story is alright. However, it is sometimes incredible boring, so many pages are just describing random things. I understand the point of it, but I'm sorry, that's too much description. I really had to force myself to read it sometimes because God it was boring.
Will I read the second book? For sure. I already know the story of course (I watched the movie many times, and I have to admit the movie is probably a bit better because it get rids of many super boring parts of the book).
So in conclusion, I think I would advise everyone to read this book, it's a classic. Yet, be aware that it's very racist and that its description of the South is very much idealised (and not historically accurate).

★★★★☆ - A better book than the first one.

What I said in my review of part I of [b:Gone with the Wind|18405|Gone with the Wind|Margaret Mitchell|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1551144577l/18405._SY75_.jpg|3358283] is still true for the second book. Things did not change and/or improve, this story is still spreading white supremacist ideas, racist stereotypes and whitewashing the horrors of slavery. And I think in this book, it was even worse than in the first one. You can really feel like it is not just the author trying to mimic what people would have thought back when [b:Gone with the Wind|18405|Gone with the Wind|Margaret Mitchell|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1551144577l/18405._SY75_.jpg|3358283] was set, the author is thinking this herself.
Anyway, apart from this very bad and horrible side of the book, the second one was slightly better because it was way less boring. More things are happening and we don't have the very boring, long and useless descriptions of the first book.
Will I read part III? Yes, I have already started.

★★★★☆ - I basically have the same complaints about this volume as about the other two ones.

This won't be a very long review I think. This volume was obviously similar to the two previous ones. I still have the same complaints about the racism and the whitewashing of slavery (trying to make the reader believe it was fine and that slaves were happy).
However, concerning the story in itself, it became slightly better. The second volume was quite boring, full of endless descriptions and nothing really happened. This volume is quite better, many things are happening rapidly and I wasn't as bored as in the other ones.
So, finally, would I recommend all the volumes of [b:Gone with the Wind|18405|Gone with the Wind|Margaret Mitchell|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1551144577l/18405._SY75_.jpg|3358283]? If you are somehow into classics, I think you should read them. Overall, these are not bad books at all, but they did not age that well... So just beware you are about the start reading a racist and whitewashed version of history (but at this point, is it really history? Because I didn't find these books particularly historically accurate).
