“I’m not pushing you away I’m just living reality… The only reality is the one we make”

This is my first Corrine Michael’s book, but I can tell you right now this will not be my last. The way she just writes her characters is phenomenal and brings out all the emotions from me.

I loved this book so much. It’s definitely not your typical aggressive, dominant rockstar romance. Watching Eli and Heather navigate the challenges of the circumstances they were going through was perfect. Their connection from the first night was unforgettable. I was rooting for them the entire time.

Can we just take a second though to swoon over Eli Walsh. If someone doesn’t shut down a theme park for me and my family, I don’t want it. He was every bit of book boyfriend material that everyone in real life would die for.

Over all I absolutely loved this book. It was a super easy read, well paced, and easy to fall in love with. I experienced alll the emotions going through this. Corrine Michael’s just has a way of writing her stories that suck you in.

"Thank you Jesus for beer. Or whichever person made it"

You know good decisions happen after sayings like that! But to follow-up with...

“I need a Go-Pro for the next time we go out.”

Gold. Pure gold. Corrine Micheals makes you laugh, cringe, smile, and have tears streaming down your face. Hope, despair, and fingers crossed will keep you reading the magic that is contained in these pages.

Magic that has you cracking up when you want to cry. Magic that makes crowds disappear. Magic that makes even hurts go away.

It's a beautiful thought..to own the night. But it's all about what you do with it!

When Heather and her friends go to see their favorite childhood boy band, the last thing she expects is to end up in her childhood boy crush, Eli's bed. And the last thing Eli expects is to become beyond smitten with Heather. He makes every attempt to work his way into her life, including becoming friends first. But, can Heather handle being with someone who is in the spotlight all the time?

Content Warning: Heather's sister has Huntington's Disease and this books does deal with some loss.

I like rock star romances, but this one bored me. The most interesting aspect of the story is Heather’s relationship with her sister. In terms of Heather and Eli, I didn’t sense any chemistry there. I couldn’t get past my disbelief that a rock star would relentlessly pursue a super fan after sleeping together one time, especially when he knew nothing about her other than the fact that she screamed, “I love you, Eli!” at his concert. They barely spoke to each other. Both characters are likable enough, but Eli’s insta love was just too strong, and I grew tired of Heather pushing him away. Overall, this was just a so-so read.

I listened to this book via Audible Escapes. The narration was decent, but I wish Zachary Webber had been able to read more of the male parts. It kind of took me out of the moment because there were times when I expected to hear his voice and I didn't.

The first part of the story was fun, lighthearted, and humorous. Even with Heather's sister being ill, the story managed to stay fairly upbeat. I was expecting that sad moment, it arrived, and the story moved on.I

I liked Eli and Heather together. He was a great guy for her, especially after what happened with her ex-husband. I am not deep into sad, angsty books. Life can be sad and angsty enough on its own. This book had an unexpected twist that made it sad and angsty. I admit, it attempted to continue to be uplifting. I just didn't want that much reality thrown at me in one book.

I am glad Eli and Heather got their HEA, but because of the added twist, it took me out of the lighthearted, romantic mood. Not to say that it was not a decent book. It wasn't what I was looking for at the time. Between the angst and the narration, it became an ok book for me decent.

The first book I read in the series was actually the 4th. That book made me want to read the rest. After reading this book, I'm hesitant to read the rest. I read romance for the respite from everyday life. This book was not that respite.

I really enjoyed this story. It was not your typical romance trope either with the "hot rockstar" and I loved that about this!

Heather and Eli were magical in their interactions and their story. Seeing Heather care for everyone but herself broke my heart, but I could also relate. Her sister Stephanie became her responsibility early on after their parents died. Having the 12 year age gap also made it feel like a parental role that Heather had to take, rather than the big sister she should have been. Add in Stephanie's illness and how it affected them both, you knew Heather needed some romance in her life, even if just for one night.

Enter her childhood crush, Eli Walsh of Four Blocks Down, and front row tickets. Mix in some heavy drinking and catching his eye, you have her getting pulled to the meet and greet after.

Eli is his dealing with his own beasts and having to face that he is over 40 and life might be catching up with him. Top it off with some health issues of his own that he doesn't want to deal with, and you have a recipe for an explosive romance.

I loved that there was love, laughter, tears, compassion, trials, and chances for real growth in these characters throughout this story. This is one that will stay with you long after you turn the last page.

My third and absolute least favorite Corinne Michaels book so far. To me, the dialogue and writing was immature. I really did love the subject matter and the family dynamics and trials but I didn't FEEL the depth. If I would have taken notes, I could have listed more specfics but ain't nobody got time for that. I will no be continuing the series, but I won't let it deter me from continuing the other two series I've started and enjoyed! Come back for me is definitely my favorite so far.

I honestly can't get over how much I loved this book! I just read One Last Time a few days ago and came snooping around to see what else Corinne had to offer. This one definitely didn't disappoint! When I realized it was about Heather, I freaked out!! I love standalone novels that give you the option to read about other characters, without being a series. I like that I can recommend this book to my friends and they don't have to read one before the other (although I did rec both books). I have seriously been stuck on this book since yesterday. I almost skipped a meeting at work so I could finish it, LOL! It was honestly so well written. It probably helps that I read about Kristin first and then got super excited when I realized this was about a character from One Last Time. In my review for that one, I kept saying how much I loved their friendship (aka miss being in college and actually having friends around). It was such a surprise treat to read about Heather! I was seriously loving Eli from the start. You could tell that he was drawn to her. I mean look what he went through to track her down! In effort to not spoil too much of the book, when the surprise came out, I had no idea it was going in that direction. I thought it would be an ex issue like the other book. I was seriously shook about it! I was sitting here, fuming about a fictional character for not telling Heather. Then I re read the part over and over where he basically says why he didn't say anything... UGH. This book got me right in the feels! It very much deserves its own movie. I read A LOT of books but I can almost say that this goes in the top 5 for me. Seriously. And I thought I loved One Last Time. This one nearly blew it out of the water! I seriously can't get over it. Just perfect. Read this one for sure.
