a sweet story

Heather agrees with her friends ti go out for the night to see one of their favorite bands perform. She is called up onstage by her childhood celebrity crush and he asks to meet her after the concert. They meet for a one night stand. Heather runs away but it leaves Eli wanting more. He pursues her and wants to win her over. Heather doesn’t have time for a relationship. She is divorced, while her ex is her boss at the police department and she is the sole caretaker for her sister. Eli doesn’t let let stand in her way.

This story had me emotional the way only Corinne knows how. I really loved Eli wanting Heather to call him by his given name when no one else does. Eli just wants to be there in the sweetest and most endearing ways possible when Heather is at her lowest.

The audible narration for Stephanie’s part was phenomenal. Each tremor and quake in her voice gave so much depth to the character.

A perfect, quick read. It is not too heavy but still makes you feel! I laughed out loud many times and was really invested in the characters!

This book just isn't my thing. I'm not a fan of this type of book, it's a contemporary in the vein of Kristen Proby. A lot of people love this style but it always feels just too Hallmark movie to me. I didn't like "the meet" of the couple. He sees her from the stage, he picks her out to sing a song to and tells her to hang out afterwards. I just couldn't get into this or see any connection with the couple. Like I said this book just isn't my taste but I'm sure plenty of readers will love this.

🔥We Own Tonight by Corinne Michaels🔥

Imagine your fav boy band, imagine them playing 20 years later, you're on the front row and your eyes connect with your fav member. BOOM! SIZZLE! SIGH!

Then imagine him chasing you and your lifes a mess and oh man sounds cheesy right? It's so not! This book kept me riveted! I cried , I laughed, I felt!! So. MUCH EMOTION!! It had so much depth! My Five Star read!😍😍😍😍

Fantastic read. I wasn’t expecting much but I got it for free on audible and figured it was worth a shot. I loved the characters, the plot gripped me the whole time, and I love that this wasn’t your basic romance there was tons of chronic illness rep which wasn’t something I’ve read before. Can’t wait to continue with the series and check out more from this author

This book was so good! It reminded me a bit of Forever My Girl, with the rockstar character yet I was envisioning this happening to me with NSync (who else is with me?). I absolutely fell in love with the male character during the theme park scene. Like how amazing that he does charity work and also thinks of her and her sister. This is one of the books where I was so into it, I was telling my husband all about it. *(THIS IS RARE.) I definitely recommend this one to everyone!

I listened to the audiobook and the narrators (Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber) are stellar as usual.

Story was fun and I had some laugh out loud moments for sure. Of course it was a little on the unbelievable side, but that’s ok. Heather hooks up with Eli who is her childhood boy crush from a pop band one night after a concert. It was supposed to be one night, but Eli falls first, fast and hard. There were some heavy topics, mostly with Heather’s sister terminally ill and declining. I loved the scene where Eli shows his soft side and includes her sister. I also liked the female character was career focused (albeit too much of her identity perhaps).
