I listened to the audiobook and the narrators (Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber) are stellar as usual.

Story was fun and I had some laugh out loud moments for sure. Of course it was a little on the unbelievable side, but that’s ok. Heather hooks up with Eli who is her childhood boy crush from a pop band one night after a concert. It was supposed to be one night, but Eli falls first, fast and hard. There were some heavy topics, mostly with Heather’s sister terminally ill and declining. I loved the scene where Eli shows his soft side and includes her sister. I also liked the female character was career focused (albeit too much of her identity perhaps).

This book was far more sappy and serious than the title or book description let on. The hook of the one night stand with a lead singer was just that: a hook that had not much impact on the real story the author wanted to tell. It was a book about losing a loved one to a degenerative disease. The romance felt secondary. I think a lot of people will love this book but it wasn't what I was looking for and I felt misled. However, this was probably the best performance by Andi Arndt I've listened to.

I have previously enjoyed this authors books but this one I just couldn’t do. I DNFed at Ch10 of 29
I thought I could get past the unbelievably cringe first 3 chapters where she goes to her childhood boybands concert, he brings her on stage and serenades her

When I tell you I DEVOURED this book!! This was the first of Corinne’s work I’ve ever read and I’ve apparently been an idiot. I’ve been missing out. This was so good!

We’ve got:
angsty
celebrity romance
he’s chasing her
external conflict
one night stand turned insta-love

One of those books where I’m so anxious that I simultaneously want to throw the book across the room, but might also die if I don’t get to the next page fast enough. There’s absolute heartbreak, but you’re prepared for most of it from the get go. That being said, I was crying on my couch a lot. It’s a quick read and I didn’t want to put it down for a minute.

For my fellow audiobook lovers— this along with a lot of Corinne’s books are in the Audible Plus catalogue. They’re narrated by Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber (two of my favs), so they’re fantastically done.

Second chance at love for the both of them. The average cop meets the rock star from her teenage years. They are so cute. But she has a hard time letting him in as she dedicated her life to take care of her ailing sister after their parents death. But things take a turn.
Love the audiobook. Great choice of narrators.

È bello ritrovare la Michaels. Non ancora al livello di Consolation, ma vedremo coi prossimi!
