This book was quite good.

I would 100% recommend reading Twisted Trilogy 0.5 because none of that context is really recapped in this book. Again, I don't know why that couldn't have been the start of this book but oh well...

If you dislike inner monologue (in any way), this isn't the book for you either. There is also a lot of repetition; when switching POV, the conversation doesn't need to be repeated again.

About halfway through, I was quite invested in this book but I just didn't really feel like anything was happening. There wasn't enough interaction between Giovanni and Amelia for my liking. I didn't feel much emotional connection between them. I felt this way through the majority of this book. Way more content was needed in order for this to be a trilogy.

Good book

A great mafia-ish book. The h was too naive for my taste but overall the story flow and the plot was good to read.

Dangerous Vow
SR Jones
I read the prequel Cruel Promises as suggested, which gave a good look into the story. Gio is burned in a deal with Amelia's dad. We get Gio isnt a good man but he makes her believe is.. This book does end in a cliff hanger

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Following on from the pervious book, Amelia and Gio take on a new journey. Amelia needs to escape her ruin of a life and spread her wings by seeing the world. Gio vowed to claim her to show the world and his enemies that he will not be messed with. But in doing so feelings and emotions are brought to the forefront and Gio may lose the one thing he wants more than power. Great story.

Giovanni Bianci has always known that he has wanted Amelia and now the time has finally come for him to bring her to his home and work for him. Yet he knows how much he wants her but must be careful not to scare or push her away.

Amelia Marshall was in danger of losing everything with the death of her father and knows she has no interest in marrying Jeremy but is going to consider it so she doesn't lose her house. Yet when the most incredible job offer comes in she knows she must take Giovanni up on his offer, although she remembers the warnings her father gave about the man.

Giovanni knows that his library is the way to Amelia's heart and he will do whatever he can to keep her there. Yet he also knows he walks a tricky line with the damage her father did with not repaying what was owed to him to other people.

Can Giovanni find a way to prove to Amelia that he has her best interests in mind or will she just become a prisoner in his home?

This was such a good book and I can't wait for the next one!!

I think I really do like Giovanni even though he can be so dark and broody. It's obvious that he truly cares so much about Amelia but he is in a dangerous line of work, even as the banker, and I just don't think he has been in any real serious relationship before or something as sometimes he just did the dumbest things.

Amelia was so sweet and innocent but she also never forgot about Giovanni from when they first met and although he scared her, she struggled saying no to him. I absolutely loved her passion for books and his library seems like the kind of things where dreams are made.

I am really curious about what is going on with Amelia's grandma as Amelia is terrified of her and her grandma doesn't seem to fear Giovanni at all.

I was glad that they found out who was behind the unsavory things being done locally but I am definitely freaking a little bit about what is to come with that.

I thought Giovanni's plan of showing Amelia the business side of things definitely backfired and I can see things heading south for sure now!

Can't wait to see what's next!!

I read SR Jones because she delivers the best dark Alpha males. And she did not disappoint with Dangerous Vow.
I loved, loved the dynamic and tension building.
I can't wait to read the next in the series.

Amelia not knowing what else to do, after what’s happened in her life, decides to accept Giovanni’s offer of a job as a librarian. Thinking that moving to Italy she can fix everything that’s gone wrong in her life and she hasn’t been able to forget him.
Giovanni finally has his plan in place, bringing Amelia to Italy, to him, the woman he was obsessed with but also the daughter of the man that betrayed him.
Amelia was so sheltered living with her father and who better than the man that she met who she felt the passion she always wanted to show her the world. But what happens when Amelia learns just why Giovanni wanted to bring her to Italy.

SR Jones' trilogy Twisted Sagas starts off with Dangerous Vows. Be forewarned...this is a trilogy so it ends on a cliffhanger. Gio's and Amelia's story is a steamy turbulent one. Amelia's dad warned her Gio is the devil incarnate. She went to live and work for him anyway, being drawn to him.

I am not sure how I feel about Giovanni. Yes he is cruel and mean but then we see another side and you really wonder if it is an act. His chemistry with Amelia is a passionate one. Amelia...I'm am trying to cut her a break. She was raised and lived in a bubble. So I guess her naiveté is just so foreign. I wanted to tell her to wake up, grow up...sometimes she got on my nerves.

The story overall was paced pretty well. It had some slow moments but made up for them in other. I cannot wait to see where this trilogy takes up.
