This book really caught me off guard - I wasn't expecting much, but I ended up really enjoying Sign Here the whole way through. I went in thinking it would be horror comedy, but I say it is more fantasy with little to no actual horror elements (besides taking place in hell); I don't usually like fantasy, but the setting worked for me.

Despite being over 400 pages, I found it to be a quick read and finished it in 2 sittings. It was pretty funny, especially all the silly details about the 5th floor of Hell (the only booze is Jagerbombs, you can never get a pen to work until the 5th try, you never know how deep those puddles really are...just dumb humor that cracked me up) and the people working down there.

I wasn't too sure about the constant jumping between characters at first. I'm normally a fan of short chapters, but initially, they made the character shifts feel more abrupt. At the start of the novel, I wasn't as invested in the family storyline, but as I read, I became more intrigued. There were a few twists that all landed well for me - I sort of saw the big one coming, but it still played out in a satisfying way. I was also honestly by the writing, it was really great and managed to balance depth with goofiness really well. I would definitely read more from Lux.

Overall, it was just a fun, engaging read that I think a lot of people would enjoy so it will be easy to recommend. I did a combination physical copy/audiobook and the audiobook was great! The narrators really brought the story to life.

This was a good book. I chose to read it now thinking it was a Halloween kind of book but it's not. The concept of this story is great and I did enjoy reading it but there were a couple of things that prevented it to be a great story. First, there were way to many POV and it was really bouncing back and forth that distracted from the story line. Second, this was almost like two separate stories and at times it was confusing trying to figure out how these two stories would cross and become one. Which leads to lastly the ending was way confusing and I only realized what it meant after reading other people's thoughts on the ending.

i listened to most of this as an audiobook and felt that the narrators were what saved me from not immediately DNFing this. this book had such an interesting premise but i felt lost in the separate storylines and thought they seemed too disconnected to make sense. despite only going into this book thinking it'd be about a guy trying to work his way up the corporate ladder in hell, i actually enjoyed the messy drama of the harrison family way more

spoiler:
Spoiler
- ruth felt like she was written by john green
- silas's obsession with sarah and ruth gave me the biggest ick
- cal's story made ZERO SENSE to me am i just dumb
- i love mickey and sean's lil sibling relationship

I actually could not figure out / predict where this was going throughout the entire book - even if I had inklings here and there, I did not see the twist coming and was impressed by how the seeds were planted, but subtly enough that you only tend to catch them in hindsight. Great mystery, fun satire, a page turner.

Loved Claudia's writing style! The book was wrapped up and still left a little ~mystery~ in the epilogue.
Dark humor
