This was the hardest book of the series for me to read. I’ve been studying Revelation this past year, and I see and understand so many more parallels than I did reading it as a kid. There are both scary and wonderful things in our future!
This one is always so bittersweet. The end of the series, the end of the Pevensies, then ends of it all, but a journey that will last a lifetime.

"Welcome to the real Narnia!"
"Yay!"
"Here are all your old friends who died in earlier adventures."
"Yay!"
"You finally get to stay. . ."
"Yay!"
"because you died in a train wreck back in jolly old England. God save the Queen!"
"Yay, wait! What?"
Yeah, pretty much like that. I guess the point was that all things end eventually, whether they're good or bad or whatever. In all of the other Narnia books there were what I'd call Christian overtones but it was really overt in this one what with the false idols, all gods being one, and the rapture coming about.
Anyway, I can finally mark the chronicles off my list.

And so concludes The Chronicles of Narnia.
Lewis did a great job concluding every storyline from the series in this book. It almost felt like an Avengers-style accumulation of every character meeting.
Just like the other books, the religious imagery (this time the book of Revelation) was wonderfully & tastefully done.
Experiencing the entire series in sequence like this will take some time to chew on, but in glad I finally got around to doing it. It truly is one of the book series everyone should read before they die.
I must say goodbye to Narnia, but, like the Pevensie children, my memories are fond & I will visit them often.
