I just loved these characters! One of the best audio readings in a while , great storyteller with all the different accents. Can’t wait to listen to the next one
(Ljudbok). Man får precis det man är ute efter utan att det för den skull blir tråkigt. Förutsägbar, ja, men rolig och mysig.
My favorite part was actually the Preface - A message to readers. So funny!
Cute little novel about a book truck and new beginnings set in Scotland. Great for the autumn months.

Listened to this on audio and really enjoyed the narrator.
I really liked how Nina grew as a person through the book. At first, I found her super frustrating because she wouldn't do anything to help herself out but she later grew into herself. She probably frustrated me because I'm so similar to her. I'm not as quiet and timid as her, but I do find it hard to get out of my shell and take big risks.
The fact that they were closing all the libraries in this book made me so sad. I love libraries and would love to work in one. Libraries are an important community resource, and while technology centres are a good resource as well, books are something that you just can't replace.
I just overall enjoyed this book. It didn't knock me out of the park, but I enjoyed every minute of listening to it.

I love books about book lovers. The main character's real love of books is why I have this for stars. Also, it is partly set in Scotland and you gotta love those Scots ;) It was a sweet, easy, and predictable read. And sometimes you just need that.
A cute feel good book that hit the spot after reading quite a few Serious Books in a row. A 29 year old librarian (hey that’s me!) finds her world turned upside down when her library is downsizing and minimal employees will be retained. A training course, an old idea, and all her savings later, she’s traded her life in Birmingham for one in Scotland running a bookstore out of a van, traveling around from town to town. This story was a sweet little escape for a few days, and left me looking forward to my next UK trip (whenever that may be).
I enjoyed this for a lot of reasons. I identified with Nina on pretty much every level possible. I felt hard the discussions on modern librarianship and books. I loved Nina's journey from a person who hides herself away from the world and in her books to one who was more adventurous. (She was still introverted and a lover of books though. She just found the balance she needed.) The Scottish setting is absolutely perfect. The one thing that kept me from loving it without qualm was the whole terrible ex trope. Let's leave that behind now. Thanks.
I will be reading Colgan's other books.
