Holy cow, the emotions this book brought out in me: anger, frustration, laughter, happiness and major tears to say over that happiness. I have to give props to Mr. Lippert this by far is the best of the JP books. I now have to go back and reread all the stories including the book based solely on Petra, because I need to make all the connections connect again in my head. So fabulous to have such a great entertaining thinking story!

FYI- I have passed the praise for this series to everyone I come in contact with, it is just that good and that much of a my to me a HP perpetual fan!
I don't want to cover the story because I don't want to ruin it for anyone, just know that you need to read these books!

Mr, Lippert I hope you will be picked up by Scholastic Books or another publisher, just to make this labor of love to us readers also help you live easier by getting paid for this labor of love from thus on.
Cheers, sir.

Hogwarts gets a new headmaster who has found a way to provide Mr. Filch even greater capabilities of discipline than before. The new headmaster also begins instituting many new and increasingly restrictive rules in the name of security – to the point that students must have all of their incoming and outgoing mail read and approved by a professor and groups of more than three (3) students are not allowed to meet since they may be discussing subversive plots.

I liked this book more than the previous one, The Vault of Destinies. The ending in this book feels more wrapped up, though to be fair there is still quite a bit that needs to be finished. However, it reminds me more of the Harry Potter books in that the mysteries introduced in this book are mostly wrapped up in this book. The great nemesis (Voldemort originally, now Judith) is still on the loose, but overall things work out pretty well in the end. There is even an explosion of flower petals and fragrance! Also, there are some characters from the original Harry Potter series that make an appearance due to the door-to-the-next-world (after you die) being – apparently – sort of a two-way street. Very interesting.

I would rate this one an 8 out of 10 for enjoyment, but a 2 out of 5 for readability.

I liked the premise, but I figured out the "twist" pretty early on.

Lippert does a beautiful job extending the magical world Rowling originally created. However, I believe that he brings a whole new life and light to the Potter series. Touching on subjects that hit home even for us in reality and making subtle corruption and evil the main antagonist puts his writing right up there with all of the greats. I am thrilled to continue reading his works, as well as appreciating the beauty he weaves into a story that was not originally his own (which I think is even harder than creating it himself!). The potential for this series is astounding.

I enjoyed this book tremendously. It has improved in depth and plot that Lipparts break seems like a gift sent from heaven. I can clearly see the differences in his writing. Of course I still find bits that seem illogical and unlikely. (James and Rose being 'BFFs') but overall much improved.

This was my absolute favorite in the series. The series is properly climatic, and I will be disappointed if another isn't written to help lead me down off this precipice. I liked how he brought characters back without fully giving them back. People cannot come back from the dead, but it was beautifully reassuring to see that people are happy on the other side. It had a thrilling amount of mystery, terror, and fantasy without pulling the book too far in either direction.

This book was so exciting I had to stop reading several times just to calm myself down from all the (good) nerves that built up in my body!

Another fabulous book in the James Potter series, and in fact, the bext one yet! Mr. Lippert has told an amazing story, giving homage to the Harry Potter books we all love, but telling a different journey. Great job! I really hope there is another book!
