I just could not get over the amount of 'fuck' and 'shit' that is in this book. If the editor would remove all these works, the book would become about 50 pages shorter...
Like the concept of the book, but too much swearing for me to enjoy it.

It just felt like the author was trying so hard to seem relatable and not for lack of a better term “talk doctor” to you. There was an overuse of cursing and it just felt so unnecessary.
The only reason this book is popular is because the use of the taboo work F*ck! It is very known from a psychological aspect that the use of dirty taboo words can and will elicit positive and/or negative emotions vehemently in our brain.
In this example, the book title has made more adults snicker like kids buying this book because of the title alone; however, the content in the book was lacking and underwhelming to help those who are in real need.

It was okay. It had over-used curse words. Despite this flaw, when I was reading it, it still was able to convey interesting ideas about mental health and how to deal with it.

Don't read this book if you're not comfortable with swearing (the title should be a give-away). The author uses swearing and a conversational tone to try and get across complex information in a simpler manner. It worked for me, but based on other reviews I can see that not everyone felt the same.
The information especially around trauma-informed care was very useful. This was the main focus of the book and the chapters that follow build around this for the most part. There are some helpful text boxes with strategies and ideas to cope with mental illness that could provide a start for someone facing these battles or add to your existing healthcare.
Overall a good read. It provides a good start in helping you understand more about various mental health issues.

Good information and habits that people can build in order to stay calm and not let your emotions take control.
The idea is great, and I hope it helps other people -- but the delivery was just painful for me. Not because I'm against swearing (my love of f-bombs is what drew me to pick it up in the first place), but because it "totes" felt like a long, unedited blog post written by a bro.
I spent most of this time reading this book trying to psychoanalyze what function the author cussing every two words served her- which was distracting from the content. But now I’m psychoanalyzing myself for psychoanalyzing the author instead of paying attention, so ur right author my brain needs therapy
