In a time where burnout has never been more prevalent, this is a MUST read. Geared towards women with a perspective on all the ways women specifically endure consistent burnout and stressors, this is a can't miss exploration of the science and circumstances of burnout with built-in tips on how to overcome it and change your mindset.

Authors are very mindful that BIPOC and other queer people experience even worse burnout and stressors, but be mindful that these two white women primarily cater towards a white woman's perspective in scenarios exploring burnout. However, the advice given is science-based and can apply to anyone regardless of gender identity.

The first part of this book, which focuses on the stress cycle, is life-changing. The rest of it was less revelatory to me, but I appreciated the approachable, feminist, and science-backed interpretations of the world around us.

This is a great book to add to your list of books to read over and over. So many great scientific backed strategies to cope with struggles of burnout, and the systems that thrive off of your burnout.

Really appreciated the audiobook. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it if I read it - there’s a fair amount of cringey, millennial-y ways of describing some things that were made slightly less cringey hearing them in Amelia and Emily’s own voices. I learned a lot! I’ve been in constant burnout since 2018 and am now just breaking the cycle. As far as the self-help book genre goes, I think I will turn back to this book for reference often.
