Welcome to my first review in a while! Without daily lunch breaks to myself, I don't get as much time to read, hence the lack of reviews.

Today's book isn't a genre I usually read. Instead of fiction, fantasy, and epic dragon battles, I bring you a biography.

My SO bought me Me Life Story: Sofa, So Good by Scarlett Moffatt as a present. He doesn't get books but knows I love her, so naturally I bumped this right up my tbr list! It's not every day he gifts me a book, after all.

(Confession: I read this months ago. Sadly, I've neglected my reviews a little over the summer. I'm trying to get back on track now.)

We all have that one thing we are good at. Whether it be a skill, humour, or simply being caring. Focus on your positives.

I knew Scarlett from TV like most people and I absolutely adored her, but I was surprised at how much we have in common. At times I felt I'd found a long lost sister (forgive the cheese--I do feel we have a connection though, so shush!), it felt like I was talking to a lifelong BFF, not some stranger from TV.

Sofa, So Good couldn't have been more written in her voice. I read the whole thing in her accent. It was natural, bubbly, and an extremely easy read. Perfect with a cuppa while you're reclining on your sofa!

Just be yourself; you should never have to lie to impress people.

I expected this to be funny (it was), but I didn't expect it to be so uplifting. Sofa, So Good is packed with little bits of wisdom. The quotes I chose for this review are just some of my favourites, but pretty much every chapter ends on an inspiring note both in her own words and her favourites from literature and science.

And I LOVE that Scarlett and her sister have matching Pikachu onesies. Growing up with Pokemon I related hard, and I'm definitely not jealous because I don't have an Eevee onesie *ahem*.

I knew if I wanted to achieve anything I had to leave. See, sometimes withdrawing and leaving has nothing to do with being weak, it has everything to do with strength.

It's an easy recommendation if you love Scarlett Moffatt already or if you need a bit of inspiring girl power in your life.

Sofa, So Good will be a feel-good read for sure. I can just see myself with this after a rough day, a cuppa in hand, giggling to myself and nodding at her uplifting words while she makes me feel better <3

How can anyone not like Scarlett… she’s just such a sweet person and down to earth.. yes she’s become a celeb due to Gogglebox and I’m a Celebrity but she doesn’t come across as a celeb with all the flashy material things.

She’s genuinely a lovely person who just wants to do well in life and she is definitely someone who you’d love to meet for coffee and cake or cocktails after work.

This book was such an easy listen, I’m sad it’s come to an end!

I really enjoyed listening to this as it was narrated by Scarlett herself! Most of the content, I cried or laughed along with but I would say this is closer to a 3.5 out of 5 due to some of the content that kept repeating or that which I didn't agree with her opinions on. Nevertheless, a very entertaining read, and insight into Scarlett's life.

I'm a big fan of Scarlett and love her down-to-earth nature, so was really keen to read this book and learn more about her life and her rather rapid rise to fame, from her earlier Gogglebox days. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed by the content of 'Sofa, So Good'. I felt that she was trying too hard to be funny and at times found myself thinking: 'just be yourself Scarlett!' There are some anecdotes that just did not ring true... for instance recollections of herself as a seven-year-old and things that she remembers saying which were far too beyond her level of comprehension would have been at that age, further adding to the feeling that this book has been embellished quite a lot.

When reading biographies I don't particularly enjoy the early years, and so hoped that she would have given a lot more to her early 20s and other experiences in the celebrity world.

On the whole though, this was an easy and enjoyable read, and I loved the facts that Scarlett provided at the beginning of each chapter.

I LOVED this book!

I have liked Scarlett Moffat ever since she was in gogglebox and I also loved her when she was in I'm a Celeb. I had always wondered how and why she got onto to both of these shows which was one of the main reasons I picked this book up. Another big reason that I bought the book was the cover which is just so amazing (Underneath the dust jacket may just be my new favorite cover!)

Scarlett was so relatable in the book and because I was listening to the audiobook, which was read by Scarlett Moffat herself, I felt like she was telling me her life story. The story was so amazing and Scarlett's life was so interesting and fantastic to read.

This is without a dowt the best autobiography i have ever read and now I definetly want to read her first book.

Really enjoyed this book! Short but sweet and read by Scarlett herself so added that extra touch.

I really enjoyed listening to Scarlett’s behind the scenes take on Gogglebox and how she overcame bullying and a disability to be where she is.

It just goes to show you have no idea how people came to be who they are and being nice and kind will get you far in life.

Would recommend!
