WOW. I honestly didn't think I'd feel disheartened after finishing this childish vampire obsessed cliched book from 10th grade. But, I AM! I vaguely remembered where I left off, after a gap of 6 years, but when I starting reading it, it all came back to me like big splash of icy cold water to my face. It is truly just meant to be for crazy, psychotic vampire-obsessed fans like me, others you are given a WARNING: You'll absolutely hate it and blame it on the author or compare it to Twilight etc, etc.
For those keeping up with this story up till now, congrats! (pat on the back) because this ending of Sofia and Derek is truly worth it. It does give you a sense of closure, relief and security( I know I sound like a freak), after going through all the chaos-ness in the former 6 books. I would say the last fight was really tough, I honestly thought one of them wouldn't make it, but shoutout to cliched happy endings, everything does come through at the end! And I am glad it did! The fantasy of a human girl and a vampire love saga is one that grips my heart, and this series truly did that. With all the other characters, they were a blast too. I mean I can go on complimenting each and every character but really it is up to you how much you LIKE this series. For fans like me I promise you'll LOVE IT! And break a little at the end ;(

Derek and Sophias' story spanning the course of 7 books
Right off the bat I would like to say that I wasn't as connected with the characters in this book as I was with the previous 6. After binge reading the first 6, A Break of Day hadn't been released yet, and when it was I didn't feel up to it. So here we are a year later.
Overall this book was okay for me. It was a good conclusion to a good series and I'm glad it ended the way it did.

The only thing I can say that I didn't like was the rush ending and the spontaneous random ass wedding at the end for Vivienne and Xavier. ALSO, the whole breastfeeding thing. I did not believe for a second that sophia could do that after months of being turned into a vampire then back into a human. So that was random too and out of place. I would've liked to know more about what happened with the different realms and see everything wrap up but unfortunately I would have to read the rest of the series to find out. Each book you read in this series, just keeps on getting better and better. I enjoyed reading Derek and Sofia's story., now it's time to introduce the next generation, because of their parents you just know they are going to end up okay

Book Review - A Shade of Vampire: A Break of Day by Bella Forrest
Introduction
This is the conclusion to Sofia and Derek's journey. Derek is trying to find his wife Sofia, after she gave birth. Derek has one of his twins, Rose but someone snatched the other, Ben. So Derek is trying to find them to reunite his family. There are so many possibilities to where Sofia could have been taken that he doesn't know where to start. As for looking for his son, Ben, he has no idea at all where he could of been taken too.
I don't think I have a favourite character because they are all amazing in this series and I love them all. My best character is Vivienne. I loved her from when we first meet her at the start of this series. She has got to be my favourite because she has been through a lot but is still fighting for her family. Nothing can break her and I would love to have her as a best friend. She is a lovely vivid character with a great personality and I would love to know her myself! :) LOL
The characters felt very real to me. I cried and laughed with this book, I cried when Vivenne finally realised she loved Xavier, but thought he was dead, it broke my heart. I laughed after Vivienne and Xavier got married and everyone got on stage and started kissing along with them. I cried because Ashley had lost Sam. She is a lovely girl. I loved this series from the start and have been patiently waiting for each book to come out at a time.
The one thing I have loved about this series is that every book keeps you guessing. You can never predict what is going to happen and if you try to it will more then likely be the opposite of what you thought.
My favourite part of the book was when Sofia had changed back into a human again and went to breastfeed her babies for the first time. She has Derek holding her while she is breastfeeding, what a perfect moment after all they have been through. I also loved the last chapter about Kiev, I can not wait to find out more about him in the next book. I'm very intrigued by him.
All of this book was written well for me, I experienced the emotions with the characters and loved every minute of reading it.
This book like the rest in the series has kept me gripped and wanting more. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down and I finished within a day and had a late night reading session with it! :)

That was a wonderful ending to this series. I think I'm happy with that ending and I will not be continuing with the other series.
