Just as good as the first one, nice to hear the tender side of Travis that we knew was there all along! And my favorite part is that there is an epilogue!! Yay for some closure!
review coming soon.

All two stars are for a decent last chapter and epilogue. Otherwise, I'd have given it one star for a re-hash of "Beautiful Disaster" and costing me almost EIGHT extra Kindle cliterature dollars for the same story all over again. This just seemed like a huge money grab to me.
This book was just meh. Good in parts, excellent in a couple of spots, and downright boring and repetitive everywhere else. The writing is decent but the story seemed familiar... oh yes, I remember. I've already read this. It was called "Beautiful Disaster."
There was one new insight in WD. Abby is an incredible bitch in this book. She was a low level bitch in the first book but it wasn't as obvious to me. In this one, she takes resting bitch face to the next level. Then, at the end, Abby chalks her behavior up to her super awesome "poker face." Um, what? That's one mean-ass pokerface, Abs, leading a guy around by his dick like that when you really wanted him all along. Whore.
I am an avid reader. A character's actions give me a pretty solid idea of what they are thinking, no matter the POV. It's like... Jamie, seriously, did you really think you had to spell it all out for me? ? For realsises? Do you think all of your readers are that dumb? Wait... don't answer that.
If McGuire had just slapped that epilogue on the end of "Beautiful Disaster," I could have the 15 minutes spent writing this review back and my life would be much improved. Maybe.
The whole situation just left me frustrated. Kinda like Travis through this entire book save the last 2 chapters. Poor guy. Poor me. Poor you if you read it. Save your money.

I was worried at first, because I couldn't get in to Abby and Travis' relationship, even though I already knew the story. I think I was expecting a retell of Beautiful Disaster. But about halfway into the book, it dawned on me that would stupid. Why read a story that I alreay know. So with that frame of mind, I continued the roller-coaster of Travis and Abby. However I really felt this book was less about their relationship, (because really I could not understand from Travis' POV what exactly he saw in her - she was terrible and fickle to him!), and more about Travis and the demons that he was wrestling with while pusuing Abby. And that was a great story! Well-written, and I loved how it filled in conversation holes from BD. I didn't like America in this book - she was like Abby, very confusing and fickle. It's amazing how much a different POV will change character persona's. I also appreciated the continuing of their story past where BD ended, seeing a few people's reaction to their impromptu wedding, the consequences of the fire from Travis' last fight, and so on.
Walking Disaster'a gelirsek, kitabı okuyarak boşa vakit harcadığımı düşünüyorum.

as a book this was actually quite good. as a sequel it SUCKED.
while getting a view into Travis's head was interesting i felt that this book did not actually give me much more than the last one. while i loved the epilogue the rest of it was all expected and some sections were rushed through. Now i know that as this book actually takes place DURING the last one ... and is actually just the same story. i was expecting to be told more about his time away from Abby instead it was mostly comprised of their scenes together (kind of expected in a romance) but as Travis says most of what he is thinking i was not given much insight into his mind, this is more likely praise for the first book for being so well constructed than criticism for this one but it does beg the question was this book really needed? i am not entirely sure who this book is meant to entice. while the cover was pretty enough to make me want to read it and therefor the first one so much is suggested that you may not understand if you had not read the first one, yet there is not enough new material for those of us that have. Despite reading this from Travis's POV i was still very much given the feeling that this was Abby's story which gave the tone an interesting touch. while some of these chapters i was interested to see from Travis's POV it almost seems like the original book could have just been told from a split view (as is so popular these days) maybe even with some overlap and i would not feel as if i was missing all that much.

I think I liked Travis's point of view better than Abby's. Not sure why - they are both crazy and they both drive me crazy! But still, I read it and liked it. Easy read.
Even though I already knew what was going to happen, it was actually kind of nice to see things from Travis's perspective. I have to say there was a part in the epilogue that I guessed was going to happen before it happened but it was sweet to see what their lives looked like after college.
I know there are more books in the series about his brother's but I'm going to stay away from them. Abby and Travis were good enough for me. Even when his brother's were mentioned throughout the book I didn't want to know more about their lives. They were secondary characters and I want to keep them that way.

Ah, Travis Maddox. You sexy quasi-psycho, let me love you! Well let me just start by saying I was one lucky duck to get an ARC of WD from Netgalley. This book. Oh man, lemme just say that I love Travis. Like a lot. I loved him in BD, although I did get a little (ok a LOT) annoyed by his mood swings and his clingy-ness. In this book, we get inside his head. And man does he make a lot of sense now. The damn prologue had me tearing up! I just really love every single Maddox. I really hope Jamie is thinking about writing all of their books, I really want to see more of them. Especially Trent and Thomas.
We get to see all those moments during the break up too and girls...brace yourselves. It's sad times. Gah. He also has this thing with opening doors. Its so flippin sweet I just had a dopey smile on my face while reading it. And maybe I petted my kindle a few times. Don't judge me.
The worst part of this book, if you can even imagine there being one, is the fact that we know what's coming. We know how hurt he's going to be and you literally DRED when it comes because good God do we come to care for this fucked up, broken man. I just want to cuddle him so hard. He doesn't hold back on his feelings, at all. It's tough to read about his pain. It was tough reading about his pain in freaking BD!!!! Now imagine being in his head!
We also see how completely baffled he is by his Pigeon. How he feels for her, how she feels for him, how she acts...all of her. Because if you were annoyed by her in BD, buckle up kiddies, she is going to piss you off even more. And it is solely based on the fact that you love Travis. You want to protect him from the pain so much that you start to give the stink eye every time Abby comes into the picture. You forgive her though because she loves him just as much as we do.
And for those of you that think this is just going to be a complete recap of BD just from Travis's POV, you are wrooooooong!!!!! There are moments that are in BD, but there is also a lot of stuff we didn't get to see. Extended marriage scene for one!! Also the stuff that is repeated is the important parts, the parts we want repeated because we were all dying to know what was going on in Travis's head anyways.
Finally, I give you one. word. EPILOGUE!!!!!! You guys, Jamie gave us an epilogue!!!! OMG!!! It is amazing. So, so amazing. I'm not giving anything away, just know that it literally makes the entire book.
You won't be disappointed. It's everything we wanted and everything we didn't know we wanted. You know what your getting when you read a Jamie McGuire book, so I don't think I have to continue gushing about it. I also don't want to give a lot of away because well, I'm legally obligated bahahaha, but also I just don't want to ruin it for anyone. We've all been waiting so long for this book and to spoil it would be so damn mean. Just know that it doesn't disappoint. Jamie! If you are reading this, please let us know if there will be more Maddox books! Specifically Thomas and Trent, although I would like all of them because I'm a greedy bitch haha!

I first want to apologize for my poor English, it's not my first language and although I can read and understand it perfectely, my writing is not as good as I want it to be... (Thank you dyslexia) ;-)
So, I'll just keep it short to overcome my first review on Goodreads stress ;-)
But OMG, after finishing Beautiful Disaster I found out there was a 2nd book, this time from Travis POV. Goodreads could not have made me happier last night!
I think this version is even better then BD, I really enjoyed reading a YA novel from a men's POV. Travis turned out to be exactely the men I was imagining him to be while reading BD. An insecure, mildly traumatized and hot headed guy, who's madly in love with Pigeon/Abby.
The whole "I'm not good enough for you" thing they've got going on is kind of irritating, but the fact that this book kept me from my very boring study session and gave me the evening off I desperately needed made it worth while.
