Loving him will cost me some things, but not loving him would’ve cost me everything.

Book 3 in the Whitlock Family series, Tempting Promises is Rowan and Charlotte’s story, and I absolutely adored it

This was cute.
Enemies to lovers isn’t always my favourite and they definitely keep being enemies for a lot longer than I would have liked considering the reasons were dumb. I would have liked a bit more time where they were getting along and developing their relationship. But the spice was nice and the banter was decent. I had a few giggles. The mmc is was cute as hell.
I think I would have also liked more crazy drama from the sister of the fmc. Because not much happens in the book after the whole trapped in a cabin bit.

Me gusto mucho! Mi favorito hasta ahora.
Me divertí leyéndolo fue muy entretenido y la tensión de estos dos me tenía como loca !!!
Rowan es un amor

Tempting Promises is the third book in the Whitlock family series. Rowan and Charlottes hate each other. Rowan had a fling with Charlotte’s sister that did not end well. Both of their farms are up for a new contract that they are vying for. During an ice storm they get stuck in a remote cabin. While at the cabin they both agree what happens at the cabin stays in the cabin. What happens after they leave the cabin and they can’t stay away from each other.

I absolutely devoured this book! This is a classic enemies to lovers story! Rowan and Charlottes have great back and forth banter. The tension between these two was insane! As they truly start to get to know each other more, their chemistry is perfect! I think Rowan is definitely my favorite Whitlock. He cares for Charlottes and comes through for her like she needs.

This entire series is so good! I highly recommend starting with the first book even though they are interconnected stand-alones!

If you like a good enemies to lovers book, look no further than Tempting Promises.

Rowan Whitlock is the ex boyfriend of Charlotte Sullivan. Charlotte is fiercely loyal to her sister so when she reveals to her (and the entire town) that Rowan is a cheater, Charlotte vows to hate him for all eternity. The animosity they have for each other reveals itself in competing for land deals and cattle auctions just to name a few. They have mutual friends so when they are both invited to a weekend away. While out on separate hikes, they get snowed in for days in an abandoned cabin, where their hatred turns into passion. What happens in the cabin doesn’t stay in the cabin but they are once again competing for an important deal so what happens when one of them loses.

This was an interesting take on the enemies to lovers troupe. I liked the fact that they had to deal with some very real issues that went well beyond simply disliking each other. Also, the way Charlotte has to really look at her relationship with her sister while she has growing feelings for Rowan is really well written. The small town backdrop also really adds to the overall story. I was excited to see how this played out when Rowan and Charlotte were mentioned in the earlier books and I was not disappointed. Great book! Once you start it you won’t want to stop until the end. And I loved the ending, it sets up book 4 nicely.

Tempting Promises was a small town enemies to lovers with all the tension and banter. I loved Charlotte and Rowan, they had chemistry despite their rivalry. Charolette has disliked Rowan ever since he dated her sister. When a hiking trip forces these two to be stranded in the woods for a few days everything changes and they can’t fight the tension anymore. I loved seeing their friendship grow the more time they spent together and seeing her opinion change over time. This book was fun, steamy and a great read.

Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke narrate this book in dual narration and I absolutely loved this duo for Charlotte and Rowan. They brought the fun banter and their chemistry off the page and their performances were amazing.

Rowan and Charlotte are definitely a true “enemies to lovers” couple that will capture your heart.

Charlotte Sullivan despises Rowan Whitlock because she believes he cheated on her sister and broke her heart. Charlotte is solely responsible for the family farm in Sugarloaf while her sister ran from the small town and now lives it up in New York. The farm is in grave financial distress.

Rowan Whitlock is a successful farmer, single, and loves his niece, Olivia. But relationships? No. He doesn’t do relationships. Rowan wants nothing to do with Charlotte. They hate each other. But… there’s something about the antagonistic woman that drives him crazy.

Sparks fly when they are forced into close quarters at a rustic cabin during an ice storm. Sparks? More like an inferno! They can’t resist each other. However, once they get home, back to reality, things should return to normal, right? After all, they hate each other. Or do they? The attraction is still there and they can’t seem to stop it. And they hate themselves for it. Their snarky banter is everything. Charlotte’s determination to save her farm had me rooting for her. Hard. But, then, Charlotte’s birthday is a game changer. Her sister’s call turns into a fight. She’s alone. Broken. On her birthday. Rowan appears and. . .lets just say no one could resist this man at this point.

Thank you Corinne and Valentine PR for this ARC!

HELLOOOOOOO???? The enemies to lovers trope always does it for me but this time around with Corinne writing it? I ate it up raw!!!!! I would be a total liar if I told you I didn’t look forward to Rowan’s story like a child looks forward to Christmas morning because I totally did. Rowan’s story has always intrigued me and when I found out that it was going to be an enemies to lovers tale I was sold right away. Corinne literally only had to say the word enemies and I was ready.

The story was just everything I ever wanted it to be. Both Rowan and Charlotte are people who feel a lot and when they love they love hard and that’s very evident after reading Tempting Promises. It’s your classical enemies to lovers story. Rowan and Charlotte have history but are also neighbors with completing farms for the same deal that will help their farms in different ways. For Rowan it’s a chance to grow this farm and for Charlotte it’s a chance to save her farm. Rowan’s never had a real relationship and has sworn to never open himself up to failure and the same kind of hurt that his mom went through when he was young. But after getting stranded with Charlotte in the woods and a cabin for days, they seem to be defrosting towards each other and that ensures the hottest hate fcking, you’ll ever read about. What happens in the cabin stays in the cabin their brains tell them, but is their hearts gonna listen too?

Tempting Promises is just that kind of book where once you start reading, you cannot stop. I loved so much about it, mostly Charlotte because of how much she grew throughout this book and learn to stand her own ground. And also Rowan because he led someone else in and therefore also grew a lot in different ways. They both had each other’s backs when they really needed it and that was what mattered most to me. And then there was the infamous sleeping bag scene… I wasn’t doing much arguing about that one, if you know what I mean.
