4.5 screaming stars ! Yeowzers, I was sitting on the edge of my seat for almost every page. Ms. Halle took me to my scary dark place, threw me in, then covered me with pure darkness, dead things and dosed me with some crazy thoughts and closed the lid ! Holy crazy bat-trip Batman I screamed loud when my husband came up behind me ! He's till trying to recover himself from that. LOL
Dex and Perry go to a beautifully dark dangerous island for a shoot only to find more horrors there than either of them where ready to face. There is little happiness in this edition of their story. She is found, he is too. Both have many secrets. They are just trying to get to know each other, kind of and everything seems to backfire and blow like the wind.
I still hate these characters as much as I like them and I just can't quit them. I can't !
Read it, and beware of creeping things in the dark ! LOL

I don't know why I always start a book in this series and put it down for so long. The ending is always so well worth it. Each book in the series, easily becomes my favorite as I go through them.

In Dead Sky Morning, we follow Dex and Perry along to an old leper island off the coast of Canada. Of course, it wouldn't be an Experiment in Terror novel if there wasn't any freaky stuff going on. Perry begins to see things and Dex just thinks she is going crazy.

The steamy factor definitely goes up a notch with this story though! I thought to myself, FINALLY! But of course, nothing ever last for long.

The creepiness in this book definitely steps up from the previous two books as well. I never cringed by what I was reading in those, but man, the descriptions in this one were on point!

As always, I can't wait for the next installment of EiT and to see what all Dex and Perry get themselves into.

Holy Cow!!!
This was terrifying and I loved it!!!! Not to mention I can finally say I love Dex without a doubt. And I really want Perry and Dex to get together in the worst way. Loved the buildup and the absolute terror this book evoked. Brilliant idea.

This book is my favourite of the series BY FAR.

The entire story is told while on the set of the third episode of Experiment in Terror and it takes place on D’Arcy island in British Columbia. As a Canadian, I had never heard of this island before, so along with some pine chilling spooks and lots of drama, I also learned some pretty brutal history about my home country!

The ghosts in this book were the scariest so far. THERE WAS A LEPER BABY CRAWLING UP PERRY’S BODY for gods sake! You can’t get much more terrifying than that!

I also really enjoyed the ‘Lord of Flies’ vibes that Perry and Dex had going on. It was very Freudian how over the course of the book, they started to lose their civilization and began relying on their baser instincts (like Perry breaking Dex’s nose!)

I also think Perry & Dex’s relationship developed immensely. They have officially cheated! Like cheated, cheated! It’s really interesting reading [b:The Dex-Files|15746858|The Dex-Files (Experiment in Terror, #5.6)|Karina Halle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1602889694l/15746858._SY75_.jpg|21437922] alongside the series, because Dex’s perspective really changes the way I see his relationship with Jennifer. From the way he describes it, it is a loveless relationship born of convenience and safety. He doesn’t love Jenn, so he’s save staying with her. He will never devolve into the person he was while he was with Abbie. It’s interesting, but not redeemable enough to make what they’re doing ok. Especially not Perry who’s under the assumption that Dex and Jenn are in love.

I decided to re-read the entire Experiment in Terror series after finding [b:Came Back Haunted|55618050|Came Back Haunted (Experiment in Terror #10)|Karina Halle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1602886940l/55618050._SY75_.jpg|86734082] (Ada's story) in a bookshop recently.

I knew I enjoyed this series, but I had forgotten just how amazing these books are.

Although the ghost story in [b:Dead Sky Morning|12322385|Dead Sky Morning (Experiment in Terror, #3)|Karina Halle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1602889226l/12322385._SY75_.jpg|17300620] is as scary as hell. The relationship between Perry and Dex is the focus of this book; in the claustrophobic atmosphere of D’Arcy Island we get to know them much better as people (and not always nice people at that).

I cannot recommend this series enough. Now on to [b:Lying Season|13061289|Lying Season (Experiment in Terror, #4)|Karina Halle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1602889388l/13061289._SY75_.jpg|18226704]
