I really liked this book. The duet was really sweet but I definitely liked this one a lot better than the last. Rafe changed so much and I'm a sucker for a good fate story regardless. I think this might be better than the first Sinner's Anonymous but I will also say I'm not going to read Sinner's Atoned. I do not like Gabe, he scares me.

I guess I'm going to read the next one. I didn't love Rafe in the first book in this series but this one made me really like him. I miss Angelo and Rory though.

I really liked this book. The writing wasn't the best but it told a good story and got me invested in the characters and their story. I'll definitely keep reading the series and probably more by this author.

This book wasn't bad, I just didn't really enjoy it. I thought it was going to be something I really liked since I've been loving books that are similar in content and style but there was just something about this that I really didn't like. I didn't feel anything for the characters which is a huge part for me since I usually don't like the plot of these kinds of books nearly as much as I like the characters. I wish I could pinpoint what I disliked exactly. The writing wasn't bad, but it left something to be desired

This book may have convinced me to read more parodies or more comedies in general. I picked this up for free at a local thrift store that leaves books outside to just grab and could not resist. As a huge Lord of the Rings nerd I thought this was beyond hilarious. I've made quite a few of these jokes with my friends (specifically calling Bilbo Dildo) and seeing it all laid out in a book like this was truly lovely. It was a bit slow reading it but so is the original so I'll allow it.

I completely forgot to add this book because I listened to the audiobook a few different times! I read this when I was a kid and basically forgot about it until my husband told me he liked this book as a kid too and it was really fun to relive the adventure.

I have always loved this movie but never read the book and I am so glad that I finally did. This really captures mental health and the complexities of being on the outside and having moments of being on the inside. It does sort of romanticize mental illness which I don't love but there are just so many lines that I think capture the feelings I have so perfectly that it's hard to be too mad about it. (Besides I think the movie did more damage than the book because it took out a lot of context and the thought process that Charlie has). Truly beautiful writing and I already want to read it again.

I really love Lynn Nottage's writing and have been meaning to catch up on more of her work. I loved Esther the whole way through and wanted so badly for everything to work out for her. She is so genuine, kind, giving. I think this play says so much about how people treat each other, how the most kind people are often taken advantage of. And as always in her work it shows the inequality of the world and how all of these things get in the way of everyone truly living the life that we want or could be actually happy with.

I was disappointed in this book because I loved We Were Liars so much, but this really felt like a repackaged version of that book just set in the 80's (though you could barely tell). I do think the author really captured the pressure put on oldest daughters, especially in families who have a reputation they think is important. Carrie was a really well written character, but the plot fell flat for me.

I liked this book until the end. I was fully invested in certain characters, despite not loving the quality of writing, and then got to the end and was so disappointed. I think this might be the first book in a series which I'm not too pleased with and won't continue reading. The way the book was ended made me think if they had given it 10 more pages we could have wrapped everything up and the lead out was not enticing enough for me to want to give this book any more of my time. I probably would have liked this better in like 6th grade.
