(fake date, slow burn, (new) friends to lovers, ADORABLE!!)

so cute!!
usually the ov books i come acorss are so straight to the point and kinda unrealistic a side from the obvious but i loved this. it actually has a plot outside the spice lol

it was like reading a contemporary book with the fake dating trope but with alphas, omegas and scents

i devoured it in one afternoon and i can say it’s one of the best OV i read, i was searching for something cute and easy after reading bride and the fake mate and it was perfect

the writing was so superficial it just said:
â€śi threw myself at ___and he was inside me, he was amazing”

like okay now im bored and uninterested.
normally the best part is the spice bc the plot in OV tends to be kinda weak but it didn’t even had that…and every guy had the same personality.

(childhood crush, small town, celebrity)

maybe it’s the trope that’s boring asf or the writing bc it’s the first book i read from Elsie but-
i didn’t care about a single thing from this book.

The beginning was okay and the first spicy scene was okay too like i was a little into it and the tension but from then on i just was bored and uninterested with every page i read

it wasn’t a bad story tbh, the typical trope of the childhood crush that turns out they both are in love with eachother and everyone saw it coming-
but it didn’t give me anything idk
it felt bland and i found myself skimming past half of the book till i just gave up

i don’t care how they end up even tho i know this book is a HEA type so yeah. peace

in page number ONE she was meeting the team and then in like the 15th she practically had two men confessing their love for her- and i’m not even exaggerating

like they fucked once and then their already acting like they want to marry her lol chill out

they all just are reaaaaaally horny and the fmc puss is made of steel bc what the fuck

also i haven’t read a single decent conversation throughout the whole book LMAO

the spice was good but
i had 0 connection to any of the characters so i just didn’t care also the only interesting thing was that she had sex with multiple man so the writing was just focused on that insted of writing it well and making it interesting enough on its own idk neither the writing or the plot was interesting

0/5🌶️ (it doesn’t need it tbh)

(competition, trials, magic, politics, assasin, badass FMC, royalty, just so fucking good pls read it)

THIS IS MY FAVORITE SERIE EVER and it has my favorite FMC so im biased but idc

Let me start by saying that this is the weakest book in TOG and there’s nothing wrong with it bc YOU NEED to read it to then go to the next one and it picks up TRUST ME. you will regret it if you don’t get through it

i’m rereading it for the first time and i have to say that compared with the other books i feel like it lacks action sometimes so i did lose a bit of interest in certain parts of the middle but I GET IT.
For me this book is mainly for you to get to know the characters and Cel and get a bit of a taste of what the plot will look like in the future.
I love it because you get so familiar with her and it makes you root for her every time even when she messes up because you feel like you know her and i found myself defending her even tho her decisions were not always the right ones. she’s my bitch fr.

I love the beginning sooo much
(i always reread the meeting of Chaol and Dorian with Celaena) from the departure from Endovier to the test of the competition…chefs kiss.
then in the middle i got distracted a little bit at times and lost a bit of motivation bc i don’t really like love triangles (even tho it’s barely there) and i never liked dorian in this book lol, so i got the ick whenever they were together…also i wanted to skip Kaltain’s pov bc i was so invested in Cel pov even tho it is important to read it, so yeah
BUT THEN you get towards the end and get know FINALLY about the wyrdmarks and then cain and the duel and it’s sooo good

so to sum it up this is nostalgic to me and i love getting to know Celaena but i just wanted to finish it and get to the next books bc its when everything starts to make real sense and nothing stops from there, it’s literally the calm before the storm

PLS JUST READ UNTIL HEIR OF FIRE IF YOU WANT TO GIVE UP.
I PROMISE YOU CROWN OF MIDNIGHT IS GOOD BUT HEIR OF FIRE IS WHERE ITS AT, THEN YOU CAN DECIDE. Ok BYEEEE

if you want smut: this book is for u
if you are looking for anything else: goodbye

like i know that no one picks this up to read about the plot or the depth of the characters but fuck…
EVERYTHING IS SMUT.
only 10% of the book is for the plot and side characters, every other page is just sex. her puss must be on fire bc fuck

its almost too much so i just put it down when i wasn’t in the mood and read other more serious books till i felt like it

also these books always have so many men that its hard to tell each apart and i am one of those people who needs a visual image of each character its impossible to keep up

the good side: im kinda new to omegaverse and i just started understanding everything and this book actually explains it pretty well in the beginning, i would recommend it to someone who wants to get into it
