It's a cute little kid book. It had pretty pictures and is pretty fun. There isn't much to it.

I'm not sure I fully understand the moral, however. It's it's sharing and being kind then that's pretty good, but if it's that you let other people's opinions dictate you happiness or that other people have a right to your body than that's a no from me.

This was a very very fun read!! I loved watching this man grow from a scared boy to one who could defend himself. I also enjoyed seeing the character of a bully fully examined.

The book feels like a therapy session for the author but it's also an interesting story to be brought along for.

9/10 would recommend!

This is definitely one of my favorite books I've read this year. It's absolutely beautifully written and tells a story no memoir could -- having death narrate a book like this allows it to tell us more about life than any other narrator perspective could.

I love the characters, I love the story, and I love the beauty and pain and the way you can't have one without another.

I won't disrespect the book by trying to describe it further, but let it be known that this is the highest 5-star rating that I have ever given (if I could make the rating higher).

It was very interesting to read, and it did manage to end happy, which I was in doubt of. My only complaint is that it was hard to follow at first. It is made very clear that there are 3 sisters, 2 of which have names that start with M. But one sister is almost wholly forgotten, and she is one of the M's which made me often confuse Marianne for being 2 characters instead of one.

10/10 would read again!

A highly entertaining story about a girl and her friends growing up and discovering what feminism means for them and what choices really are their own.
My qualms, the main characters are all so tropey. Can't we have a main character who isn't 100% counter status quo while also being feminist or powerful?
I wonder what this book would be like if it were about Serena.

This was definitely an interesting read. The characters were deep and compelling. My biggest complaint is it's depiction of mental illness. First, while it may be true to character to have the anxious protagonist continually call herself crazy, I don't think that is a healthy way of talking about mental health to an audience of youth. Additionally, its not that he wrote mental health wrong, but more that he did it so right that I think it should come with more than just a note at the end with a mental health care hotline - it should probably come with a trigger warning. Being inside a clinically anxious persons head is a BIG anxiety trigger and made this hard to get through.
