This series is such an emotional rollercoaster that you need to stick with it because you really want to see the light. These characters, it’s really hard to not be invested. This book focuses on Joeys story and he was the backbone to the dysfunctional family he belonged to. Support and protecting his siblings from his alcoholic and abusive father is a lot for a young 17 year old to be responsible for.

This is heavy in so many more ways than the first 2 because everything and every moment is covered in a shadow. The only saving grace is you knew a lot of the foundation from book one and two.

Over the years you see Joey and Aoife form & share a friendship that turns into an all consuming love for each other. Ther love is powerful, devestating, toxic, healing & beautiful. They definitely had moments where you wanted to yell at both of them for their choices and toxicity in many ways.

Sad girl book take three! I have to read this series with week’s in between each due to the heaviness they bring. I’m so glad we are getting to see these events through Joeys and his perspective as well as seeing his story.

If you want your heart rolled out and put back together, then this series is for you

I absolutely adored Noah and his golden retriever attitude. I found this book to be a nice closed door and wholesome small town romance with so much family ties. Being that this is book three and I didn’t read book one and two it was still very easy to follow.

Their love and pull toward each other being enemies to lovers seemed very authentic and real. They slow burn building through the enemies to lovers narrative and it worked well in this story. I think for me the only real issue was that the pace was a bit choppy. I lagged in some areas for me but still loved the content of the story.

Charlie was a kid that really enhanced Noah’s golden retriever self and I wanted more of him. Charlie and Noah had a bond we all need. He is quick to forgive and helps Noah just as much as Noah helps him.

A wholesome family affair with a supportive community that makes for the best storylines.

There has been so much hype around this book that I have been dying to read it for myself and I am so glad I finally did. I wondered if it would be for me. Chemistry/science were subjects I neither understood or excelled at, and I wondered if it might just go over my head.

It covers love, grief, unlikely friendships as well as not giving up on yourself. Elizabeth, the main character fighting not just for her rights but for women in general was exhilarating and uplifting. Such a powerful message for women everywhere!
Simply Lies by David Baldacci

The book was slow and really repetitive, and it dragged. Simply Lies was described as a “psychological thriller”. Psychological, it was. But thriller, not so much. There finally was some “action” but most of it came in the last 50 pages of a 400 plus page novel.

I loved the idea of this book, and I flew through the first 100 or so pages, but I felt like it became slow and predictable after the initial hook. Ultimately, I finished it and I don’t regret reading it, but the writing style didn’t keep me engaged and my prediction about the outcome, that I formed close halfway through the book, was in fact correct.

So good!! It has you feeling so many different emotions on every page. As a fan of Hallmark movies, I loved the cute silliness of the romantic story ideas that Nora writes for her career. Her relationship with Leo is similar in that it seems like almost unbelievable but yet so perfect that you still want it to happen. All in all, I couldn’t put it down and was a little sad when it ended - I wanted more of their happiness and relationship!

Imagine waking up to find out the woman you’re married to, the love of your life, isn’t who you thought she was. So many good things about this book. Interesting characters. Ratcheting suspense. Twisting plot. Explosive secrets. Unexpected revelations. Complicated love. Toss in shattering heartbreak, staggering betrayal and a lifetime of lies. An engaging and worthwhile read.

Enemies to Lovers, Contemporary Romance, Doppelgänger Switch, Celebrity Romance, Partnership of Convenience, Mental Health Representation all in which make this book a fun read.

This book is your average rom-com from movie to the page. It was sweet, had moments of whimsy romance and fantastical circumstances that you can only find on screen. This book, while the premise is sweet, has some serious undertones and tackles some serious topics in a way that doesn’t pull you out of the story.

I enjoyed this book. I would recommend.

This book was okay. The love interest is basically the same guy as in The Love Hypothesis. So the storyline seems too similar and predictable.

I enjoyed the book for having decent tension, cute moments, spice, and an unusual (for romance) setting/background. The plot was just a bit TOO predictable. Even for romance (which I love!)

This book was a pure delight! I can’t think of a better way to describe it. I couldn’t get enough of Alex and Henry, my heart was rooting for them from the very start. Talk about a forbidden romance - the First Son of the United States and a Prince of England falling in love!

"History, huh?"

Really great read!!!
