Well, it is very unexpected, but I enjoyed this one so much!
I loved this book. I started it almost by accident, having it on my ebook reader but never really caring about it. Then something changed and I wanted a little romance book, easy to read maybe a little cliché-like. I GOT SO MUCH MORE!
This whole plot was unique, and the writing style was so interesting. The author managed to keep me hooked from the start, even though it was hard to get used to it at first.
The characters were absolutely awesome. I don't even know if there was ever a book in which I loved the heroine as mush as I did love Katherine. She had this sense of humor that I could easily relate to, she was wity, and stubborn, and strong, and intelligent and feminine even when she was dressed as a boy. And there's Matthew who's imperfectly perfect, and he's always blushing and has a huge love for Kathy that I really envy. I just loved the romance between the two of them, they were so perfect for each other and I really hope they will get their happy ending in the second book.

Mr. Riordan, you keep making me fall in love with all of your characters. Can you stop creating these amazing personalities, please? I'm just not sure I can deal with these fictional crushes anymore.
I just love Apollo. And the fact he became Lester Papadopoulos makes me love him even more. He's a selfish prick, but he has these valid, very real emotions. He's really funny, and I think we could be great friends.
The plot was really nice, though it seemed shorter than other Riordan books, and a little bit less eventful. But you still had mistery, adventure, drama and brotherly love(which was very sweet). I will surely keep on reading this series and I'm really curious about what will happen next.

Mon Dieu! This book was every girl's guilty pleasure.
I loved this plot. Starting the book, I was a little sceptical because I didn't want to read another boring Cinderella story. But Maude was such a powerful, witty, stubborn character, just like Rossini's Cenerentola, that you can't not love her. Matt, who started out as a typical pop star, quickly turned into something deeper, something beautiful, and he thpught me a lesson or two about never judging people. The Baldwin-Williams family was beyond amazing. I wish every family would be this kind, loving, supporting and had this passion towards different aspects in life. As for the villains, they were cruel, ruthless, and I feel like there were hidden villains too, who will unravel himself throughout the series.
This book was easy to read, with lovely characters, and not just that, they each represented issues in our world. I especially liked the Nigerian links in this story because this theme is so rarely used, which is such a shame. It made me think and rethink what I thought I knew, and I love the writer for this!

I freaking love these authors! I instantly fell in love with the Paper Princess trilogy, and now this book stole my heart!
We all have a side that wants to experience fame, money, fans and all the stuff we usually just read about in tabloids. Well, this book really satisfied my cravings. And I loved the message it has: True love conquers all.
Such an amazing read!

Being on the run with your mother for years, running from your father(or your mother's crazy imagination) is pretty traumatizing. But Cameron knows better not to think he's a lunatic when he hears and sees things. Soon he discovers secrets he couldn't even dream of...
I loved reading this. It was fast-paced, hard to put down, thw characters bring feelings out of you... not neccessarily good feelings. Cameron was pretty childish, and so nerve-wreckinh at some parts. And there were some things that stayed unclarified for me even after I was done reading (like Cameron, who at first hates this guy her mom meets, and then magically he gets to like him). I didn't like this perfect happy ending either, I think it was unbelievable, that after so many conflicts, things just turn right so fast.
But all-in-all I liked it and I would definitely recommend it.

3.5 stars.
I really liked this book. Until the plot twist happened and I got pretty angry .
At first, Samantha seems really nice, even though she has it all. I liked her character, working hard and not living off her mother's back. Jase and his family, especially George are very lovely and such a loving big family. Their parents are very nice, having patience with not only the kids, but with people telling them a big family is only a waste of money. Samantha's mother is pathetic and I could not feel empathy for her. I just... hate her. There. I said it. I hate her for preaching only lies about how family matters the most, then leaving her teenage girl alone almost all the time. And the plot twist didn't help honestly.
!Spoilers!
I'm really mad at the fact that Samantha wasn't aware of her mother hitting a man. I know, she was sleeping, BUT she hit her nose in the headrest in front of her. And she heard the loud thump. And Clay telling her mom to leave. If this is not enough for you to wake up, you have some problems, girl. Then, the fact that she knew what had happened, and she didn't tell a word about it. If this would've happened to me, my first road would've been to the police station. This is no joke. Causing an accident can be forgiven. But leaving the crime scene is unforgivable. Grace should've payed for what she had done at least with a few years in jail. And I really don't understand how could Jase forgive Sam so fast about not telling him the truth. It was your father, damnit! He could've died. You can't just say ok and erase this...
In the end, I would recommend this book. I mean it was a nice romance development, fake friends and drama and all. But if you're impulsive like me, prepare yourself to be very angry for the last 50 pages or so.
