I think this was prettttyyy good. I would def say the plot of the this book as a whole was my least fav and the ending didn’t wow me. I will say that the first couple chapters IN THE NIGHT COURT though had me so into the book i loved it but then they left and i got kinda stuck going slow

for realz i know i say this everytime but NOTHING HAPPENED HERE LIKE FR FR!!! She spent the first 3/4 just chilling in a cage with poo head Kolis who never even was interesting and nothing happened while she was in there. like tbh we didn’t even learn anything and then she is like BOOM power and then blah blah she gets ascended and she’s the Primal of Life like we alllll knew was coming and Nyktos/Ash says he loves her and THAT WAS IT. There wasn’t even a plot twist or nothing. 2 stars cause i guess i was kinda entertained but honesty the book wasn’t that entertaining 😂

i give it 1 star for the fact that i needed a refresher of the first book lowkey but like that book was NOT needed. it was just the first over again and i feel like his retelling should have been its own OPTIONAL book not force you to basically re-read the entire first book with no added info for the maybe 50 pages of information critical to the plot for the next book.

also cas is a goddamn cat shifter?! wtf

not a lot happened in this book but the fight but i truly think it was very cute and means a lot to me because the way Nick and Charlie feel for eachother feels the exact same as me and my boyfriend so it really had me in my feels
