Okay... I chose this book as a palette cleanser for all of the long books i've read recently and it did the best job. This was honestly one of the best palette cleansers I’ve read in a while. I flew through it in one sitting and it was just so cute and I genuinely adored almost everyone in this book.

It was also so relatable, especially the whole parasocial relationship angle. I actually did a whole speech on that for a class once, so it really hit hard for me. I loved how the book explored the struggles of being a celebrity whose entire identity gets reduced to one ship or one public perception, while people ignore who they actually are.

The romance wasn’t my absolute favorite, but it was still really sweet and had some cute moments. I do wish we got more drama between Walter and Hayden though! Also, I loved the little cameo of Tessa and Imogen from the Imogen, seriously since it is set in the same universe. I just read that one recently too, so seeing them again made me smile.

Overall, I’m really falling for this author’s writing style. It’s fun, thoughtful, and super readable. Can’t wait to read what she writes next!

I was honestly a little let down by this one, especially since it's the final book in the series. The first half felt like not much was happening at all other than just slow build up. Even when we got to the action in the second half, it was still such a small part of the book. It just didn’t hit as hard as I expected.

Also, I gotta say I saw way more chemistry between Wren and Alarik than with Tor... Just to put it out there haha. Overall, it wasn’t terrible though, but as a conclusion it just didn’t fully deliver for me. I wanted more emotion and more everything you know?

“If a kiss is the reward, my Queen, I’ll get on my knees for you whenever you want.”

“Out there, I will do anything you ask of me. Anything. But here, in private, do not expect me to hold my tongue while you give your heart to a man you had to beg to keep from walking away. A man who only agreed to marry you when you offered him a throne.”

Okay yeah, I can totally see why people are saying this might be the best book in the series because omg??? It’s honestly so much better than the first one. That said... Diem was kinda more annoying this time around and Henri continues to be absolutely useless so there's that.

But really, the tension in this book is just off the charts. Luther is so down bad for Diem and it’s honestly painful in the best way because she just refuses to see it and assumes he’s lying all the time. Girl, open your eyes.

This one definitely felt more intense than the first book. And judging from the way it ends, it looks like we’re about to dive into more worldbuilding and going into other realms, which I’m super hyped about.

I went into this book completely blind and honestly wasn’t sure how to feel at first. The first 30% was a little slow for me and I was kinda confused trying to keep track of the different POVs.

But once I got into it, I started to really enjoy where the story was going. Cam’s journey of trying to find his family, Marcellus the octopus trying to help, and Tova slowly piecing things together. I think it all just came together so beautifully. I got so emotional at some points I almost cried.

The writing is so beautiful, and it was so easy to fall in love with all the characters. I'm so glad I push through and finished this book at the end T^T

This book was such a fun and fast read. I literally finished it in one day because the pacing kept things moving the whole time. I also really liked that there was a quick little recap at the start which honestly saved me since it’s been a while since I read Faebound.

The political conflict in this one definitely felt way more intense with all the betrayals and power moves happening. I was way more into the story because of that. We also got a new character that I ended up loving and also another love interest that I really enjoyed reading about.

Overall, I really enjoyed this one. The plot was engaging, the stakes were higher, and it made me even more excited for the last book.

This book started off so strong and I was immediately hooked. The dynamic between Kierse and Graves had that classic enemies tension I love and it was honestly one of my favorite parts. The whole thing with the Druids and their rivalry with Graves made the world feel really interesting and set up a lot of potential.

But...  I kinda lost interest halfway through. The middle part dragged for me and it felt like the plot didn’t really move forward. Then suddenly everything sped up and felt a little rushed near the end, which made it hard to stay fully invested. I will say the dystopian feel and the monster aspects were super cool though.
