2025 re-read. I had not touched this book in probably 15 years. Still just as devastating. I bawled my eyes out at the final line all over again. The brilliant rise and crippling fall of Charlie in less than a year was a shot to the heart.
Unfuck Your Brain: Using Science to Get Over Anxiety, Depression, Anger, Freak-Outs, and Triggers
Audible had a really terrible recording of this book.. but outside of the terrible quality it was overall an enjoyable book. I wish my therapist would be able to talk to me like she does. A little cursing here and there makes it feel less stuffy and brings the information down to a human level. Nothing earth shattering in the book, but did make me feel less like a fucking mess.
The ending was more of what I was expecting from the author, but the beginning read a lot like a cheesy Hallmark movie.
