Ummm , what was that ending ???!!!! Tamisha I need book two right now šŸ˜šŸ˜why would you leave me on such a heartbreaking cliffhanger???
So at first ngl this book felt unnecessary long because around the middle it felt very repetitive, like the main characters kept going back and forth for no reason , yes I understand Marion had trust issues but damn girl make up your mind already but tbh with ending I donā€™t even blame her because huh???
Akeno needs to carry his traumatized ass to therapy cause a lot of his  actions were very questionable and I was really happy with how they just brushed over one of the major conflicts they had without having a proper adult conversation about it.
And lastly Iā€™m ngl I dislike Davi , he is a horrible friend in my opinion, I wouldnā€™t even consider him a friend , he is more of a horrible colleague in my opinion.
But to end this review , I still donā€™t believe that romance books have any business being more than 300 pages at most but this was a very good book and I canā€™t wait for book two

Very cyberpunk and like futuristic but I was literally confused throughout and it never gave any explanation for anything and I honestly donā€™t think that Iā€™m going to continue with the series

This was a good comic book ( if thatā€™s the best way to describe it lol) , the details were amazing and the coloring was very reminiscent of like older comic book styles and I enjoyed that although , there were points that felt like there was a literally too much dialogue on the pages so you had to read the dialogue first before you go back and then take in the details of the images.
But tbh I donā€™t think Iā€™m really the target audience for this book ( and ngl Iā€™m not upset about it no offense to the people who are the target audience šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø), it was a bit to bleak for me, always talking about the wrongs of humanity and yes I understand that we as humans have destroyed a lot especially when it comes to the environment but it felt like it was only focusing on the bad things that humans do and not really the good. The only person that I related to the most was Laurel , she seemed like the only person that had some semblance of humanity/empathy/compassion in her. All the other people were just dreadful and just pissed me off so much.
Also if there are no Edward Blake haters in this world , that means Iā€™m dead šŸ™„because wtf I hated him from the beginning and I still hate him at the end , I hated how they all tried to fucking justify what he did and even the victim of what he did!!!! That pissed me off so much.
Anyways I donā€™t know if I would recommend this or not , if you are intrigued then go ahead.

Unfortunately was a bit of a let down , not as great as the first one but was still a solid book.
It got very repetitive towards the mid point of the book but I managed to keep up with it and the ending was very satisfying and those bonus chapters made me cry for real.
Just a bit of inconsistencies with the first book that kind of threw me off and the wrong usage of past and present tense and also like unusual switching from first person to third person but i would recommend tho it was a fun book to read and talked a lot of about homophobia and stuff

Breathtaking thatā€™s literally the word that comes to mind from this book. I have had this book and the second book in my kindle for years now and I had never got to it until now .
This is how a slow burn should beeeešŸ˜šŸ˜ there was yearning and angst and it also delved into a lot of hard topics in such a beautiful way and the fact that the romance didnā€™t even start in the book shows you how slow burn it really is.
And it wrote high schoolers so well, usually when people wrote about high schooler there gets to a point that they start not feeling and talking like actual high schoolers.
Also fuck every adult in this book except Isabellaā€™s mom like how could you literally see a kid be bullied almost to death and just because of the stupid privilege that the bully had no one did anything ??!!! Nahhh FUCK THAT!!
Isabella I love you, you  literally remind me of my own best friends always ready to fight for me no matter what.
Ouuu Luke I honestly feel so bad for you and how the world and your own parents did such a disservice to you and your brother , I canā€™t wait to read more about you in the second book and I hope you finally let your walls down and let Kinsley love you the way you are supposed to be loved .
Fuck my tbr literally diving into book 2 right nowwwwww

This is a reread and tbh all I can say is that this was veryyyy obviously written by two white men who did no research whatsoever and just decided to write a book just because they can

Wow just wow , šŸ˜® this book was honestly mind blowing , Iā€™m not a US citizen but Iā€™m always fascinated with reading books that talk about the history and the problems of minorities in the US.
This book talking about the movement of Japanese People into Internment camps during World War II and honestly it opened my mind to a lot of things and I honestly think everyone should read this book especially American citizens because I realized that a lot of Americaā€™s history gets censored so uplifting books like these are so necessary to hear other peopleā€™s experiences and stories.
I also recommend a similar book as well called Displacement by Kiku Hughes which also talks about the internment camps and the trauma that came with those experiences.
