I found this book difficult to put down, it was so good! I was never sure of what the characters' next move would be, and though some things didn't make sense to me/bugged me (ex: Levi accidentally betting away all of his money just when he gets the ten thousand he needs), but I can't wait for the sequel or rest of the series!

Great next book in the plot, and a good introduction to the new series.

As someone who grew up obsessed with Scoody Doo, this was the perfect balance of nostalgia and the books that I read now. This is basically an "edgier" Scooby Doo story, but with different characters and roles. It involves magic, and resurrection, and monsters that aren't just a person in a mask. I was hooked the entire time. I think that (spoilers) having Nate have a seizure at some point would have uncovered some emotions/added to some of the suspense (as horrible as having one is), since it was brought up in a moment of suspense before being swept under the rug. But I loved the twists that continued until the last page and was enthralled the entire time.

This was a very quick read that I did enjoy! Only thing is that some things in it irked me and at times I was really annoyed by Leah and her (almost) aggressiveness while talking to people.

I didn't really have many expectations going into this book, but by the end I was absolutely loving it! The last page made me start sobbing so quick, and I love a book that can make me feel so strongly (just by reading five words!) that I have no choice but to cry. I loved Will, and the plot kept me guessing. I had no problem with the writing style, as I'm a fan of fast paced novels that don't go into as much detail - or at least, I think it worked in this case and story.

I enjoyed this book a lot!
People are saying that it was very boring or that they didn't like the main character. I didn't find myself to be bored or wondering about the past of Madison and wishing - I liked being thrown into a world that didn't need an explanation, a world that was just accepted as fact. And I liked the uniqueness of the character; anger is something we see in books, but I haven't read a lot of books with an unlikable character that I actually liked because of that fact. I understood where Eldon was coming from and I followed his thoughts and concerns, and I still didn't approve of his fighting or rudeness. But I liked that change.
To me, this was a perfect book to read over the summer. It's a big book, but it's very fast paced and was a quick read.

I am so happy I stumbled upon this book. I loved it a lot, and it was a perfect read for summer I believe. Also an important read. I loved Marcelo a lot, and his family dynamics were so interesting to read.
Because We Are Bad: OCD and a Girl Lost in Thought by Lily Bailey

Part of this felt like I was reading my own memoir, but it was just different enough. I don't read nonfiction or biographies ever, but this one hit a bit closer to home and I figured I would give it a try, in case I learned something about myself. I loved how quick it was, and how it was told like a story and not just a sequence of moments in the past. And I love how open Lily is about her struggle.
Solitaire by Alice Oseman

I absolutely loved this book. I finished it in about two sittings.
There were some things that bothered me, such as Tori being too "I'm not like other girls" for my liking, but that added to the fact that she was a complicated narrator who isn't supposed to be perfect, I feel like it also fit the story. It was awkward reading some of herjokes (if that's what I can call them) about hurting others or herself, because it didn't seem like she would make some of those jokes considering what Charlie has been through.
But otherwise, I loved it. I've read Heartstopper and decided to check out Alice Oseman's books, and I'm happy I did. I've gotten into the habit of only buying books if I trust the author or if I've gotten it from the library before and have loved it. I borrowed Solitaire from the library, and I would buy all three of her books easily, because I know that I'll like them.
