I can't keep pretending that I'm reading Jaqueline Wilson for nostalgia alone after I had this on reserve for ages at the library, eagerly anticipating reading it haha

As another review mentioned it is quite bizarre that like 30 years on and no matter the age, time period or situation all the characters speak in the exact same way (at one stage Laura says "cool cat" to herself in the mirror like???)

I was enjoying the story despite the language but then
the ending when the magic and amazing aunty magically appears was just a bit ....silly like oh
but it got me researching the whole concept of mother and baby homes which I guess was the whole point

Either way I couldn't stop reading and had it finished in one day so I shouldn't complain too much!

I spent most of this book thinking 'oh my god....' because it some of the stories could have been written by myself

Not really sure what to do with this sorta revelation but there you go

I couldn't stop reading this and I really liked the little supplement bits (although they were hard to read as an ebook on my phone), It did all get a bit silly
with the hivemind stuff and as happy as I was with Kat returning to a human form it was a bit ...like they couldn't think of a proper way for that to happen
I was brought back again by the end though it was quite sweet and overall a fun read

It took me about 80 years to finish this but I don't think that's the books fault. Very sweet and fun

Absolutely punched my throat , can't believe I loved this as much as I did but it totally got me and was unfortunately relatable in too many ways

This took me forever to read despite only being 112 pages because it was written so oddly. I get that it was supposed to be mega mixed up and odd, like your mind gets after experiencing such trauma, but at times I literally couldn't figure out what was going on, especially when it flicked between people being human and then living custard?

I think there was a good story in here somewhere:  the shocking, gross and gory really hit hard. But it just got lost in too many odd metaphor-y sentences.

Seriously, what actually happened at the end????????

This was like Love Frankie but from Sammy's point of view

It was quite sweet but again even though I'm not the target audience I still don't think this is one of her strongest books but still it was sweet enough and kept me quiet during my quest reading what I would've liked as a child ahah

On a little quest to read books I think I'd have liked at 15 at the moment for some reason, and who better than Jacqueline Wilson for that

I'll be honest the way the characters act is really odd, one minute its like they're five and the next they're like 78 ('Dear Sister') although I suppose I was a bit up and down at that age too.

Obviously, I'm not the target audience so it did seem a bit childish but it was sweet all the same, I definitely would've loved this if I was 15 again, its lovely how much more accessible lgbt books are now even compared to when I was a teenager

Also I really hate how Wilson's books always seems to include some sort of older teenage lads after the younger female characters like 'hehe ooo isnt she so flirty after a year 11!' Like no omg thats a 16 year old after a 12 year old, its really gross
