I feel bad giving this low of a rating, that's really low for me, but I've really enjoyed books that have a lower rating on here so I feel like I have to be fair in this first review on the title.

It is indeed a sapphic friends to lovers fake romance story, with some spice as promised. It's a very slow burn, which was a little frustrating, but that was ok. The part I really didn't like was that effectively, despite the sapphic love around the edges, the plot was mostly driven by a douche-y guy who won't take "no" for an answer. Which, that's not why I read these books! 😅 I'd rather not have that big of roles for men TBH. They get everything else.

The characters were loveable enough, if totally oblivious to their mutual attraction (see "slow burn") and pretty unrelatable (actors, one of which has a trust fund).

I read this one because of it being high on the Amazon lesbian romance list, even though it's a little out of my typical niche. I'm glad I did: it was cute, funny, and heartwarming, with some spicy scenes. Really made me wish I could live with these witches 😅 There's a bit of a mystery and intrigue in the plot in addition to the romance, but it's not too tense, still firmly in the realm of romantic comedy.

A spicy sapphic romance filled with longing, set against the backdrop of straight wedding planning. Tense but sweet, even if I just wanted to shout at the characters "talk to each other!" First person, single pov. Warning: British! So they have to take off both their jeans and their pants 🤣

An ultimately cute (and spicy) sapphic romance, though one that might be too painful if you have family experiences with homophobia, especially from evangelical Christians. Lots of miscommunication (for good reasons, but) therefore a little tense. An interesting twist on the fake relationship trope!

This is the introduction to the "Miller-Cooper" series of books from this author, as far as I know.

A lovely little lesbian romance. Having a hard time thinking of the right trope, it's not quite enemies to lovers but that's maybe the closest there is. A bit of tension from the original incident extends through the book. Lovely to have a sapphic romance with a trans femme main character, especially when it's so normal that you don't figure out which one is trans until nearly halfway through the book. There is a bit of struggling with internalized transphobia, though, and
I wish she had been pre op or non op rather than a young transitioning, post op gal, but that's just me wanting to see myself in the books I read.
As a trans woman myself, some of the assumptions, statements, and beliefs of the trans MC reflected some internalized transphobia that felt hurtful to me and that I had to kind of process, but it wasn't too severe. This was a really cute book, with some lovely spicy scenes too.

A lovely extended epilogue to On The Same Page. Does not read as a standalone, I think, but if you've read the main novel and want a little more time with Riley and Gianna, you'll enjoy this. They are still impossibly perfect and impossibly perfect for each other, but I enjoyed it.

A friend to lovers sapphic romance and fairy tale! It might give you feelings of inadequacy because these two are so perfect and so perfect for each other, but remember it's just a book. Extremely lovable characters, that I feel like I really got to know and understand. A few tears but also plenty of laughs. Wasn't my favorite (too perfect of people, so a little hard to relate to), but I was left with the impression that this is such a well written book. The flashback chapters can be something of a tease but I promise they serve a purpose that you'll understand eventually.

A sapphic "romance" (closer to erotica though) with happily ever after, as advertised. However (though I guess I should have guessed since it's a bodyguard book) there is lethal violence which I didn't really expect. (E.g. Cover Story was also a bodyguard book but had no lethal violence.)

Not my favorite. It gets the stars because it keeps its promises, but in addition to being short, it just seemed kind of shallow and unsophisticated? Maybe it's because I saw this author has cranked out a ton of books, but it felt like there was less care and nuance in it. (Misspelling the main characters name...) The exposition uses the characters' names repetitively to the point I was wondering if one of them was a no-pronouns person. Nope, just awkward writing.

If you just need a sapphic romance that is a quick read, not very in depth about the characters or their inner thoughts, you like the bodyguard sub genre, and don't mind gun violence, you might like this. I didn't really.

Enemies/rivals to lovers, sapphic romance. A little bit of forced proximity too. Plenty of spice, maybe a little heavy on licking of lips 😅. It took me a while to get into it, the main characters are really invested in competition and winning, and it gets pretty obnoxious... But it does ease into sweetness eventually. Mostly 😅. I will agree with the main characters in another one of Lee's books, "A Lesbian's Guide To Women", that the
third act breakup is a total bore of a miscommunication trope
. But fortunately that part isn't very long
or dramatic
. I had delayed reading this one because I'm not a fan of that particular trope, but honestly I was thru it in about 5 minutes, which was far less time than the main characters spent annoying me by senselessly trying to one-up each other 🤣. Promises were kept: this is a romance so there is a happily ever after. Not my favorite by Lee but I did enjoy it.

A lovely short read. Lee again totally nails the "first time with a woman" sub genre, in a very sweet sapphic romance. Not super spicy, but there is some good spice in there.
