This is the 3rd book in this series and it was so good! I loved Petra from the moment I met her in the first book and it was so exciting to finally get her story and background. I instantly liked Bryce as well! The way the writing is done completely captures your attention from the beginning and never has a dull moment. I loved seeing the progression of all the chaos taking place and watching these 2 characters grow into the people they were meant to be. I felt the love between the 2 characters so deeply that I sobbed when they sobbed and I felt the pure joy when they felt the pure joy! The spice in this book was top notch and really solidified the connection between the characters. Overall I loved it and now I want to see what happens with Gavin and what happens with Hanna. I don’t know if they thought about writing books for them but I would instantly pick them up!

I tandem read this with Powerful and it was a top tier experience! I highly recommend reading them that way. This is the first book in this trilogy and it definitely does a good job at setting up the environment and characters while also keeping the reader entertained. While reading this it did give me huge Hunger Games vibes but with twists. There was a plot line in the end that I semi predicted but it still was a gut wrenching plot twist. There was one scene that was from 3 different POVs if you read it as a tandem read and that scene tore me up. I even posted a tiktok of me sobbing right after that scene. lol I tandem read in audiobooks as well as physically reading the books and it helped me finish it at a faster pace. I highly recommend doing it that way. Overall this was a fantastic book and I'm definitely heading straight into Reckless now! 🤩

I tandem read this with Powerless and it was a top tier experience! This novella follows Adena and Makoto and takes place at the same time as Powerless. I loved getting to know both these characters and I fell in love with their characters and stories. Although this one was short it was impactful and I definitely recommend tandem reading it. I'm still thinking about how these 2 books ended and I'm definitely going to dive right into Reckless! I also listened to this one and the audiobook was fantastic!

This is the 3rd in the Windy City series and it did not disappoint. I wasn’t sure it would be my cup of tea since it was single dad trope but it was so good! Honestly the way it immediately sucks you in is amazing. I don’t know if it was because of my emotional state currently but it just tugged at my heart strings so much. I loved getting to know these characters and watch them grow together to finally be happy. I loved the support the couple gave each other and how they helped each other create the balance in their life they so desperately needed. Overall I enjoyed this one so much and I’m excited to read Isaiah’s story!

This is the second book in the Sterling Falls Rogues series and it starts off right where the 1st book left off of. We continue to follow Artemis, Saint, Reese, and Kade. We see their relationships with each other continue to develop and get even more backstory on each of them. This book has so many twists and turns in the story that it definitely kept it interesting. My favorite character of them all is definitely Saint but I’m definitely falling in love with them all. S. Massery has such a way of giving her characters so many different sides and developing relationships in a way that feels authentic and genuine. By the end of this book I was flabbergasted! I couldn’t believe what I just read and my heart now hurts lol I can’t wait to see how this story continues to unfold and I’ll be anxiously waiting for the next book!

This is the first book in the Sterling Falls Rogue series and follows Artemis, Saint, Kade, and Avery. This is a spin off of her Sterling Falls series and although you don’t need to read that other series to read this one, I think it would probably make more sense if you did. Since I haven’t had a chance to read the Sterling Falls series yet, I was a bit confused at first since I didn’t know the world or the characters. There are a lot of references to what happened in that series and so now I do feel I already know how that one will play out. It won’t deter me from reading it still but it is important to note. As for this book once you get your bearings and understand what is happening, it really sucks you in. I both read this one on my kindle and listened to the audiobook and it was so good! It had duet narration which was nice and the pacing made sense. This book covers some dark topics and is definitely not for the faint of heart so make sure to check trigger warnings. This one seemed more focused on the set up of the story rather than any romance but there were sprinkles of romance woven into the story which was nice. I’m super excited to continue the story and continue to see more romance. This book left off on a huge cliff hanger so I’ll definitely be running to read the next one!

It was an interesting choice to show us Belly and Conrad’s relationship in flashbacks rather than just taking us through it but I suppose it’s because it wasn’t during summer. This one was enjoyable to read even though the ending made me want to rip out my eyeballs lol the show was pretty accurate to the book and now I just can’t wait to see how it all ends! This is a short review but I don’t really have anything else to say lol

This second book in the series did not disappoint! I actually ended listening to most of this book and it was so good! We follow Junior and Lauren rekindle their relationship after a teenage fling. Junior is wanting to look to his future and Lauren is trying to cope with her past. I loved the development of their relationship in this book. Junior had his issues but overall treated her so well. Lauren frustrated me at times but by the end a lot of my frustrations made sense and didn’t matter that much. Overall I really enjoyed this book and I think it was a well done sequel to Lights Out. I’m excited for the next one 😍

Never to Suffer is a poly romance novel that follows Dani, Xander, Skylar, and Theo. Dani is the lead singer of her band and the sister of the previous books FMC. Xander is Dani's long term boyfriend who comes from a wealthy family that he is desperately trying to escape. Skylar is the ex-boyfriend of Dani's friend who left for rehab after his breakup and before anything more could happen between Dani and Xander. Theo is a doctor who lives next door, has a cat that loves to beg for food, and a heart he walls off due to past trauma. Together they make up a diverse set of people trying to navigate falling in love with each other while trying to heal themselves. I enjoy everything Jordyn Barnes writes and this book was no exception. I loved getting to know each character more and how they functioned in their head. I loved seeing the dynamic of the four of them and how beautiful their love was for each other. I love the found family and the connections found even when you thought they wouldn't be found. I loved seeing characters from the rest of the series in this book and how they rallied for the four of them. The reason it isn't higher in stars for me is because I felt there was some relationship building that was off page and just told to us that I would have rather been able to read for myself. It made the love they had for each other feel really fast paced and sudden. Although I did feel the love they had for each other through the pages. Especially at the end. Overall though it was a good book and very spicy! The spice was *chef's kiss* and I do recommend this book if you want a really spicy read! I'm excited for the next book! It's going to be about the character I have been dying to read about!

This was a cute and quick read. I watched the show when it came out and recently finally finished season 2 so I picked up the book again and was able to get through it. Overall it was a good book but I think because I’m not a teenager anymore, I can really see how immature the characters are. Obviously cause they are teenagers it makes sense and is totally how I acted and thought as a teenager but it is just interesting to read as an adult. 😅 it was also fun to see how the book and show differed and what they changed for the show made sense to create even more drama then then the book. I am going to continue with the series and we will see how the rest of the show differs!
