My Royal Showmance by Lexi Blake is book two in the Park Avenue Promise and I absolutely love this book!! This book was so much fun and I want to be Anika when I grow up. If you like books that are like the bachelor, royalty romance, found family, fast paces, and about tv production then you will love this book!!

Anika Fox agrees as a favor, to work as a PA on a reality dating show where the bachelor Reginald Lucannon St. Marten is the ruler of Ralavia, is seeking a queen. Realizing they are down a contestant they ask Anika to step in as a contestant, with the promise of being eliminated that night. They both realize that they have met before on a previous show she worked on. Anika and the king have instance chemistry that the viewers and other contestants notice immediately. The king soon lets her know that he will not let her go that easily and that he will convince her to fall in love with him.

This book had me from page one and I didn’t want to put it down. I love Anika and Reginald’s relationship. Anika is a force to be reckoned with. I not only loved the MC’s but I love the side characters as well. I can’t rave about this book enough and highly recommend it. I can’t wait to read book one!! Star Lost by Amy Marie Ayres is book one in the Luccee Winterscott series. It is a dystopian war story with what I feel is a twist. In between the characters chapters the book gives the readers explanation and then asks the reader their thoughts.  This book was a different kind of read but I enjoyed it nonetheless. If you love books about dystopian, apocalyptic, corruption, mind control, and political influence then you will love this book.

Luccee lives in 2076, in a society where books have been banned and are illegal to own. This society uses a practice called Erasure which erases people’s memories and they do this to keep their people under control. She has found her mother’s diary that she has to keep concealed it from everyone including her own brother Trever. Luccee is struggling with her life and not having freedom while learning about her mother and what may have happened to her in her past.

This was an adventure you went through with the characters who were fighting for their past, present, and their future. Luccee starts to come in on her own realizing their way of loving isn’t right.  I’m sure this is leading us into book 2 which I can’t wait to read. I can’t wait to see what Luccee does and the fight she has before her. Thank you to Love Book tours for giving me this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

A Brilliant Spring by Kate Smoak is the final book in the Seasons series. I’m so sad this series is over! This book was told in multiple POV’s by Elissa, Brandt, and Riley.

This book picks up on the cliffhanger Black Winter left off.  Elissa and Brandt’s relationship is struggling. Elissa is dealing with some unexpected changes in her life. Brandt is giving her space but still supporting her. Riley and Rhys’ are still dealing with their pregnancy. Riley has really come into her own, she is being so strong with how Rhys is behaving. We get to see more of Riley’s relationship with her parents and how supportive they of her.

Elissa really comes into her own by the end of the book. I love that we get to watch her relationship grow with her mother. I love Riley and you get to see her become a stronger version of herself. I’m so sad this series is over because I enjoyed it. I was given this book as an ARC this is my very late honest opinion.

You, Me, Her by Sue Watson and narrated by Tamsin Kennard was so good but that ending pissed me off!! If you like books about secret, lies, betrayal, murder, and a fear of water then you will love this book.

Rachel is married to Tom and they have a little boy named Sam.  Rachel inherited some money after her father’s death. Her father did not like Tom at all so he left everything under her name so Tom couldn’t touch it. Tom decides to buy a house in Cornwall and begins renovations on it. Rachel has to approve all of Tom’s purchases and is irritated because he is pouring all of their money into this house, it renovations, then decides to get rid of the garden and install a pool.  Due to a traumatic event in the past due she has a phobia of pools. Every time she brings that up or the fact that he is using all of the money he gaslights her.  Tom has perfected the term gas lighting!! Rachel and Sam join Tom at their new house soon after strange things starts to happen and Rachel soon learns that her marriage may not he as perfect as she thought it was.

This audiobook was so good I couldn’t stop listening, I was hooked and finished it in one night. I wasn’t sure who I could trust and who I couldn’t. I figured out pretty early on who the other woman was but for most of the book wasn’t sure I could trust Chloe. Tom was well I have nothing nice to say about him. I loved watching Rachel go from being timid to I’ll figure this out myself since no one wants to believe me!! I enjoyed this book up until the end and then I HATED the ending. Over all a great read I recommend it. I think Tamsin Kennard did an awesome job as a narrator. Thank you to Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for letting me listen to this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and options.

Before I Loved You by Ashely Elizabeth is a captivating love story and read. Before I Loved You is book one in the Before series and if this book can captivate me from page 1, I can only imaging how the other 2 books will have me. If you like books about accidental pregnancies, college basketball, college romance, artists, opposites attract, found family, spicy, with a HEA ending then you will love this book.

Reeling from a traumatic night, Sarah wanting to forget decides to go to a bar where she meets Paul. They hit it off instantly,  have a one night stand, and part ways that night without knowing the other’s name.  Fast forward a few weeks later Sarah learns she is pregnant and she decides she needs to figure out the man’s name. When they find each other their attraction is just as strong as it was that night,  they date, fall for each other, and his family adores her too. She is afraid to tell him she’s pregnant and the farther they go the harder it is for her. The traumatic event that happened to her one night keeps coming back threatening to ruin her…Will he ruin what shes worked so hard for? Sorry can’t tell you bc that will ruin the book and I want you to read this one.

Ashley does such a great job of intertwining the characters' past/present, unconditional love, heart breaking loss, and redemption.
This story is beautifully written and will capture your heart from the beginning. I enjoyed this I didn’t want to put it down. I was given this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

The Reinvention of Lottie Potts (Teapots & Tequila Shots Book 1) by K.L. Clear was a book that I not only loved but really resonated with. This book is about Lottie realizing her worth, finding self confidence, becoming fearless, starting over, and getting a second chance after finding out her husband was cheating on her.  Her son and friends supports her completely when going through her transformation.

I love this book!! Lottie took her life back and instead of jumping into a possible new relationship she realized she needed to make changes in her life and learn to love herself.  Thank you to BookBabesPR for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange for honest thoughts and opinions.

I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue was a great read that reminded me of a cross between Office Space and The Office. This was also Natalie Sue’s debut novels and what a brilliant debut!!

Jolene is an introvert who doesn’t like to get close to people. Her co-workers hate her they think she is a weird loser, and she feels the same way about them. She writes or responds to company emails and at the bottom of the email she leaves hidden insults in them written in white ink. One day she forgets to write the hidden message in white, gets caught and reported to HR. Her punishment is to either go to HR training or get fired but if she does the training she has to pass or get fired. Her training is with the quirky new HR guy, Cliff who she finds attractive, gets along with and he gets her. One condition of her punishment is that IT installs software on her computer that monitors what she does and catches keywords to ensure she doesn’t send insulting emails. However, there is a glitch on the software, she has access to everyone’s email and messages. She soon learns how everyone not only feels about her but about each other among other things. She also learns that’s it’s not always good to know everyone thoughts and opinions, or all of the goings on in the office.

Jolene went through a traumatic event when she was in high school that still affected her life today. As much as she wanted to feel like she belonged somewhere she struggled trying to. She carried so much guilt over the events of her past that she struggled letting go. It even affected her relationship with everyone around her including her parents. The story was written so well as were the main and side characters. The mental health representation in this book was well written because who doesn’t feel like they don’t belong, have a hard time dealing with and letting go of traumatic events, and just struggle in life. I could not recommend this book enough. Thank you to William Morrow and NetGalley for letting me read this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Ladykiller by Katherine Wood is such a great who did it read!! This book reminded me of Verity. If you like books with a suspenseful thrill ride, an escapist journey, murder, con artists, that has many twists and turns then you will love this book. Told thru dual POV Abby and Gia’s manuscript.

Gia, Benny, and Abby have been friends since they were kids. They met as kids when Abby’s father became the chef to Gia’s well off family.

Years later, Abby and Benny are meeting Gia to celebrate her birthday that was supposed to take place on a remote Greek island, that belonged to Gia and Benny’s family. When they get there, there is no sign of Gia anywhere. While searching for Gia they find a manuscript written by Gia telling the events that had unfolded in the last couple of days. They are in a race against time to find out what happened to Gia and her new husband Garrett who may not be who he said he was.

I could not put down this who did it story that was full of mystery, con artists, intrigue, suspense, who is lying, who is telling the truth murder mystery.  The end left me with questions and wanting to know who was telling the truth and what really happened…I have to know!! Thank you to Bantam Books and NetGalley for letting me read this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

The Fatherhood Mandate: A Coming of Age Dystopian Novel by M.E. Wright

The Fatherhood Mandate (The Unborn Child Protection Act) by M.E. Wright is a unique take on abortion laws and how much control the government has over your rights. Told from the father Sam Maxwell’s POV

This book takes place in 2028 in Wisconsin Sam Maxwell is finishing up his last year in college with a full tennis scholarship for Northwestern. His on/off girlfriend Riley is off again and he finds out that she is pregnant but not from her. He gets a call to come home after a government official shows up at his parent’s house to let him know that Riley is pregnant. He soon learns that because she is pregnant they are forced to have the baby and are mandated to the government pregnancy program. Their whole lives are now under the governments control and are closely monitored.

His whole life gets taken from him they take his license, passport, he gets an ankle monitor, no longer allowed to drink, he loses his scholarship, and forced to move in with Riley. Sam’s license has been taken and he is given a provisional one. They have to sign up for mandatory classes all through their pregnancy together and alone. When it’s found out that he’s been to a bar 3 times he gets arrested and faces prison 2 years for every visit to the bar or face a pregnancy simulation. Riley is forced to carry the baby to term if she gets an abortion they face murder charges, if she miscarries they can face murder charges.

This book was tough to read and the ending was nothing I expected. This book made me really think about what and how our lives would really like if the government stepped in and took over without consent. I know we know what’s it’s like for the mothers but this was a unique take from the father’s POV. I enjoyed this book it made me think, it made me mad, sad, and annoyed. Thank you to Story Origin for letting me listen to this audio to review for my honest thoughts and opinions. This book was a nice change from what I usually read.

The Handshake Agreement by A. Akinosho was so good I didn’t want to put it down. If you like books about possessive MC, age gap, touch her and die, second chance romance then you will love this book.

Declan a playboy wanted to take over his father’s company, so they agreed Declan would marry the woman his father chose in a handshake agreement. Years later he meets Anne one of Sara’s best friends and he knows he’s met the one.

Anne Oyin is a beautiful and strong woman who works hard and can do it on her own. She is close to family especially her twin brother, takes in her best friend’s son after she passes, and her best friend/roommate Yinka. I love Yinka she’s the bff everyone wants.

They are about to get married when his father puts a stop to it immediately telling Declan to stay away from Anne or her life will be in danger. He has to stop all communication with her and she has no idea why. When he find a chance to get back to her he stops at nothing to make that happen and getting vengeance on everyone who came in between them.

I really enjoyed this book and the story. Loved how Declan fell in love with every part of Anne and how Anne didn’t make it easy for Declan putting her foot down when needed. My complaint about this book is the timeline and the ending. You knew time had passed in the book but you were never told how much. Things were happening you thought in real time only to realize that months or years have passed. I just wish the timeline between all of these instances was better established.  Other than that I enjoyed this book. I hope to get to read more of Akinosho’s books. Thank you to Passion Author Services and A. Akinosho for this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.
