Harlequin SuperRomance is known for they sweet romances that always end in the best possible ways. This one is no exception, and sometimes that's just what you need. While not my favorite it was still a quick read that was nice on a rainy afternoon. Delaney is a little too perfect - she seems to have never done anything wrong. She's the apple of her small town's eye and when she shows up pregnant and unmarried - the gossips go wild.
On the other hand, Conner is a bit of a wild one that has been told to finally take responsibility or else. So he is shipped off the family's ranch to try and make it turn a profit. But (there has to be one) his uncle's don't think he can hack it, and don't think he belongs in the family at all. He has quite a lot on his plate when he finds out that Delaney is pregnant with his child.
Neither of them handle the situation very well, but if they had there wouldn't have been much of a story. There are numerous ups and downs as the two try and find their way and figure out where each will fit in the other's lives. While it was a bit predictable, it was still a fun read.

This Kindle freebie was okay, even good in parts, but had such an absurd start that I never took the rest of the book seriously. The reader is to believe that the small town "good girl" decides that, since she's 31 and wants a baby, it would cause less scandal to go get pregnant by a stranger than use donor sperm. Really?
Some parts of the book are well done, but I never connected with either lead and the abrupt ending didn't help.

It was good for a the genre it's in. A few things I was like "really ?" , but the writing was good and the plot mostly believable.

Delaney wants nothing more than a baby to love, but she's getting to the age where she's losing hope it'll ever happen. With a little liquid courage and help from her friend, the travel away from their small town, in search of a one-night stand. What Delaney finds is a man more than willing to help her lose her virginity.
Afterwards, thing start to spiral out of control as the sperm donor she was never supposed to see again, ends up living in her town. Laughter and drama ensues, in a story so enchanting you won't be able to put it down!

There are elements of this book that may make it unsavory to some. I really enjoyed it because I could understand Delaney's motivation. I could also understand Conner's anger.
Of course, it's only natural that with the subject matter there were things both the hero and the heroine did that could drive a person batty. On one had I'd like to yell at characters in books to stop jumping to conclusions and/or talk to each other, but then we wouldn't have half the books to read that we do.
There's a wonderful scene where Delaney realizes that her best friend is the other side to the same coin as she is when it comes to their small town and its residence. It's a great moment of insight that I truly loved.
I really have enjoyed the majority of Brenda Novak's books. Unfortunately, I am finding that this particular series is not at my library or its affiliates so I don't know when I'll be able to read the next installment of this particular series.

This series is what I read when I need something light in between all of the thriller books that I read. It is cheesy with a touch of humor.

What I liked: I read this because I was in the mood for something light and fluffy and it delivered. There was few heart wrenching moments and more likely than not I became aggravated with the characters indecision about details.
What I didn't like: the plot was, basically, all over the place. Irrelevant details were placed in strange places- Rebecca's hidden feelings for the local ranchworker Josh to be named or even her marriage to a man in Kentucky. The whole problem of Conner and his family was never fully resolved. I also had a hard time seeing the connection between Delaney and Conner as anything other than anger. Or lust at most. Love was a bit of a stretch for me.

It starts with a poorly made decision and turns into a fantastic story about love and forgiveness. Loved it!

I liked this book.....and I really wanted to like it more, but I felt the h/h "fell in love" without even getting to know each other. Seriously, there wasn't one part of the book that even alluded to them having an actual conversation. It was good enough to finish, but I was left feeling a bit empty and frustrated. It could have been so much better.
