This was a really beautiful and engrossing story. The prologue and first chapter drew me straight in to the whirlwind meeting between the gorgeous Poppy and Laird, but by chapter 2 the author was already breaking my heart. Jump ahead 2 years and Poppy and Laird are not the same people, and their next meeting takes a very different turn. The angst and heartache I experienced for the first third of the book was intense, but as soon as Laird figures out what happened in the past, the book turns into a rollercoaster ride of scorching chemistry, intense and unconditional love, difficult setbacks and totally swoony moments. This is the first book I've read from this author, but I really enjoyed the writing style, the brave and unique storyline and the incredibly likeable and engaging characters, and I look forward to reading more.
The heroine was... insufferably calling her bestfriend all the time, and the hero was too daft, impulsive, illogical and broody for my liking.

Never Have I Ever is a second chance, rock star romance story.
This was a very intriguing read. I thought it was going to go one way, but it went a different direction. Poppy and Laird had a lot of chemistry together and really worked well together. There is a big secret which needs to be revealed about their initial weekend together. Poppy doesn't remember and Laird doesn't tell her about it. It kept me intrigued until the last page.

I don't know that my words could ever do this book justice. Never Have I Ever was absolutely phenomenal.
Laird & Poppy had me in all my feels and emotions. This is a story that will stay with me forever. Their love story was beautiful and tragic and everything in between. If ever there were two people that were soulmates, it's Laird and Poppy. Destiny said here you go, this is your person, it's going to be a bumpy ride but it will be so worth it in the end.
The storyline was exceptional and the characters were so raw and relatable. Just real. You could feel their love and connection through the pages, even when she couldn't remember. My heart was breaking for Laird at the anger and heartbreak he was holding onto, not knowing why Poppy didn't show up years prior. When he realized what happened to her, and that she genuinely couldn't remember because she had amnesia, my heart broke all over again. Even with her Amnesia, Poppy felt a draw and instant connection to Laird that she just couldn't explain.
When the truth comes out these two fight harder than ever to keep their love on solid ground. They know what they have is end game, and that they were always meant to share forever.
S.L. Scott gave us a breathtaking beautiful second chance romance that deserves all the accolades and more. I can't recommend this book enough.

This story had a lot of potential but it truly fell flat for me.
The one night stand with a rockstar, instant love and then BAM - a life altering car accident resulting in amnesia & resentment
The chemistry was there. The love, the admiration, etc.
The writing was really hard to handle. The fact that most of the time, it was hard for me to determine WHO was speaking really made this difficult to read. The dialog didn't go back/forth like usual. Often times both MC's had dialog in the same paragraph. Like
"It's Sunday morning" I said to her. Blah blah inner monologuing, thoughts, walking forward. "Sure is"
There were way too many times the standard line breaks were missing.
Alot of the book dragged on a lot.
I got bored around the 65% mark.
I was mad at Laird for mistreating her.
Overall it missed the mark

I received an ARC of this book and it was so good! Seeing Laird and Poppy fall in love twice was so sweet! They had banter and passion and both are all kinds of sexy, but it’s the sweetness layered behind it all that I adored. First, who doesn’t love a romance with a hoooooot guitarist? Bring in a free spirited and sassy chef and some insta love and I’m hooked. But, dealing with a lost love without any closure on one side, and crippling amnesia with a few hidden clues on the other, and you have both a match made in heaven and hell!
Seeing how the two of these navigate running into each other again, the anger, confusion, outside forces, and more all clammed for a compelling read that you can’t stop reading and hope for a positive end!
This one will definitely give you a hope for soulmates and destiny!

This book had all the feels and the narrators are amazing. Poppy suffers from amnesia following a car wreck after the first time she met Laird. Fate had them reuniting years later. After Laird realized Poppy doesn’t remember meeting him, he exhibits the patience of a saint while waiting for her to recall their first encounter.
I devoured this book. I loved every minute of it and will be reading more from this author.

Y’all I should have been prepared for an emotional rollercoaster when I realized the FMC had amnesia and couldn’t remember the MMC. But I didn’t just dive in blind, I cannonballed. My heart hurt and I was hoping with every page turn for the memories to return. There weee twists in there that I didn’t anticipate, but kept me on my toes. Overall, a really good second chance romance.

Poppy is finally taking steps to being on her own again. She took her first job as a personal chef for a week for someone she had to sign an NDA for, at least since her accident. It took a couple of years, but considering they didn’t think she would survive, getting just about everything back is a huge win. She just can’t remember the weekend leading up to the accident. But when she is preparing the first meal, the client is a huge eggplant to her. She’s not sure what she did to make him angry, but as she’s leaving her car broke down. With her phone dead and no charger. And a storm coming. Guess she miss be stuck with the client for a while anyways. Oh goodie.
Thank you to Literally Yours PR for the copy, all thoughts are my own.

Once I read the synopsis of Never Have I Ever and realized it was a Rockstar Romance, I knew I had to read it since this trope is one of my favorites. Never Have I Ever is also the first book I’ve read by S.L. Scott, and it won’t be my last. I’ve already added several other books from S.L. Scott’s backlist to my TBR now.
S.L. Scott had me hooked from the beginning with Laird and Poppy’s love story. A One Night Stand where both characters fall hard for one another, but before they can go the extra step, the universe throws them a curveball. Fast forward two years, and they are meeting again, but unfortunately, one of them doesn’t remember the other.
I felt for the FMC, Poppy, who was trying to find her way, but she had her mother harping her to cater her wedding, which Poppy only did with the kindness of her heart. I was not too fond of Poppy’s mother, and you’ll understand why when you read the book. I love how Poppy ends up meeting Laird again and how they react to one another because Poppy doesn’t remember him, but Laird remembers her. Laird is confused and thinks he was played, but then he finds out the truth about what happened to Poppy, and he’s all in to have a second chance with her.
This is a rockstar romance, and I’ve read many of them in the last 10+ years, which means Laird is the typical player until he meets the one. No, there is no cheating, but there is OW drama mentioned that is another curveball for the MCs. I loved the ending. Laird proved how much he loved Poppy, which made up for him keeping things from her.
This was an emotional second chance between two characters who were destined to be together, and I was here for it. I give it four stars and can’t wait to read more books from S.L. Scott.
